A must-do experience for any American visiting France. While my dad served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was on the USS Tuscaloosa during the D-Day Allied invasion, visitation to this site was even more significant because of that fact. However, one cannot help...More

A long time "must see" in my book. I feel like a more "complete' American now. It's very sobering - yet awe inspiring -to stand on those beaches and look up at the Nazi gun emplacements. The D-Day Cemetery is proof that the government can...More

So glad we were able to book w/Mathias. One of the main reasons we booked with him is that he is from the area. So we got details that were personal and allowed us into life under German occupation. Like his Grandparents billeted German soldiers....More

I took TGV train to Paris then local train to Cain. The guide then met us at Cain train station and returned us to the station that afternoon.

Hello everyone, I am considering seeing the WWII memorials this summer. I am naturally thinking to do this trip tied in with a Paris visit. My question is, what is the best way to travel from Paris to the memorials? Also, do I need a day, 2 days? If I stay overnight- where should I stay? Thanks, Steve
