I had been stationed in Verdun, France for 2 years in the 1960's and was very familiar with the World War I battlefields. Despite having visited France numerous times since then- my wife's family is French- we had never visited the D Day beaches, especially strange since her father and uncle landed in Normandy with the British Army about a... Our teenage daughter's teacher suggested Normandy would be a good supplement to next year's studies so we booked a private tour through Viator. This was the most expensive outing we've had on the vacation but it was worth it. I highly recommend this tour. This was such a moving experience to see beaches, the bunkers, trenches and American Cemetery. I... More

Wonderful and knowledgeable tour director. Comfortable bus ride and lots of time to spend at most locations. We wanted to see Juno beach in particular as my father was there on D-Day. That was our last stop and they didn't give us much time there which was disappointing. The American cemetery was beautiful. Definitely would recommend this excursion.

We took Overlord Tours to Normandy and our tour guide's name was Pierre. We joined 6 other travelers in a van and toured all around Normandy for 8 hours. We went to the American Cemetery, Omaha Beach and many other sites involved in D-Day. Pierre was absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable about the war. He was extremely interesting and very... Once you arrive you feel that battle. You see for miles. What goes through your head when you think how many young solders landed here. How many lives lost. What a feeing. Just sit back and thank them for our freedom. Loved it.

To experience Omaha Beach and Normandy was an emotional event that we will never forget. Even though it is a sad, gut-wrenching reminder of a devastating time for our American soldiers...it is a part of our history that needs to be honored and respected. To walk on the 'hallowed ground' that is Omaha Beach is an experience that is un-forgettable.... More

My wife and I are both former Army officers and found our visit to Omaha Beach to be quite moving. I imagined the open scene from Saving Private Ryan and the written descriptions I have read. Standing on the beach and looking in both directions to the over landing sites put it all into focus. How the brave suffered, how... More

My parents and I went on the 1/2 day Normandy Landing Tour and would recommend this tour to any/all who visit the area. From the moment I booked via e-mail with Mr. Jean Marc Bacon, he was helpful, informative, and accommodating. We were picked up right at our hotel in Bayeux by our tour guide for the day, Romain. He... More

When booking for my Husband For his birthday was a little sceptical as this was a 14 hour trip. In hind sight would not have missed it for the world. Absolutely fantastic. Was only two couples and a little minibus turned up. It was great as really personal and didn't have to hang around for a whole coach load. From... More

Visited during a recent river cruise. This experience ranks with Pearl Harbor and Anne Frank House to me. Words don't begin to touch on the feelings of standing in that place. Will always treasure.
