We travelled using this signposted route by car from Pegasus Bridge, to Sword Beach west through Juno, Gold and Omaha beaches stopping where we wanted to and where the weather allowed. Sign posting was easily followed - only losing them occasionally, but you can't go far wrong. Incredible views, sobering thoughts and a really historic tour that I am proud... More

We visited the beaches from Omaha to Sword. When you're interested in WWII history a must do. Everywhere free parking space.

Visited at our own pace without a guide and were incredibly moved by the experience. This visit is a must if you are in the area, even if for an afternoon. Lots if museums and informative resources, whether you choose to go with or without a guide.

We didn't know much about this area until we visited. If you are Australian and have even the slightest interest in our history then you should visit this area. Our tour guide gave us so much information that we weren't aware of. If you don't have a guide then you should maybe go to the museums to get the information... More

First we visited Omaha Beach and then had breakfast at the hotel on the western end of the beach. Pretty honest fare for 10 euros. We then went on to the Point De Hoc museum and monument which required parking the car and walking a few hundred meters to the museum. Then it was on to to cliff face at... More

We rented a car from Sixt in Honfleur. (By the way, Sixt were very helpful, even picking us up from the bus station and dropping us off again at the end of the day.) First stop Bayeux to see the famous Tapestry. It's behind glass and you walk along its 75 metres with an audio guide explaining the tableaux. Then... More

Harvey (Wallbanger) was a fantastic Tour Guide. Our visit to Normandy was fantastic!! The lunch included at ferme de la Raconniere was more than we anticipated! Chose the small bus tour and ask for HARVEY! John

The is a must visit place during your lifetime - I have achieved something I have wanted to do for nearly 40 years. Walking around the landing beaches where men came ashore on the 6th June 1944 knowing that many of them would not see the end of that fateful day to liberate free people around Europe is the most... We booked a tour in Le Havre, France for the D-Day beaches and American cemetery through Overlord Tours. Our day was made special by the tour guide, Yannick. He was very knowledgeable and you could tell he loved his job. We had additional stops in Bijoux and Hon Fleur, France, two wonderful little towns. We highly recommend Overlord Tours when... More

A very humbling experience walking to the beaches and following in the footsteps of WWII soldiers. We got to go into some of the bunkers and see the craters caused by the bombs, too. The countryside is also so beautiful that it was hard to imagine this war torn area during that era. Well worth a visit!
