Be warned: it is really modern art. If you are not into that, you won't like it. Depending on the exhibition, there can be interactive pieces. The permanent exhibition isn't as impressive I think. It is a small museum but very interesting. Love it! There is a very nice park right next to the museum that is gorgeous on a... More

I'm not fan of modern art, but the museum is well organise and situated. It was a good moment even if I didn't understand all of this kind of expression.

This a very alternative type of art museum, you have been warned! It is €7 per adult but concessions is €4 which wasn't too bad. The building is lovely to be in even if a bit strange considering what it used to be. The gallery is split across three floors which some of the pieces being interactive. It is very... More

You do tend to wonder what type of experience you will have when you are aware of a building's past! Nevertheless, we had a very special experience whilst visiting Les Abattoirs. The building is perfect for hosting a whole range of modern art exhibits. Although not all the contemporary work on display was to our taste each provided us with... More

Lovely building by the river but current collections on geometric elements in photography, architecture and installations were less interesting for me, personally. Again it's modern art - it doesn't always make sense to us...A few lively video projections.

The building is interesting and well restored. Collection inside is mediocre if you ask me.. Take time to have a look at the river Garonne at the steps in park behind the museum.

Plus we got a senior discount! Only 7 Euros. It has several changing contemporary exhibitions plus at the moment, a ginormous Picasso theatre backdrop painting.

I was disappointed. The building (Les Abattoirs de Toulouse) i is not extraordinary, the Tàpies exhibition had a medium quality and the entrance ticket was quite expensive (7 euros).

This is Toulouse's dedicated contemporary art space. They have an impressive Picasso theatre curtain and some innovative exhibitions, but I feel Les Abattoirs isn't imposing itself the way it should. Worth a visit, though.
