you can enjoy watching the boats going or floating on the canal and walk along...so pretty with the poplar trees making sounds. didn't see much people though and needs to be bit clearner..but i guess that's everywhere in french cities so.

this is a lovely spot for a walk in Tulouse. Appears to be a popular spot for a Sunday morning run too.

The canal de brienne is one of two canals in Toulouse. It runs close to Pont Neuf, and has a lock from the Garonne into the canal. It has lovely trees along each side, and is calm and peaceful.

The canals are still funtioning in todays world although assuming a different role. In days gone by they were a major means of transportation but today, they are a lovely shady place for walk or run or bike ride. I wanted my family to discover the Garonne and the Canal de Brienne, so the best option was the Bateaux Toulousains. There is a guy who attracted tourists around for the visit. The comments were recorded in French only and it was very messy and not on time, I have a lot of sympathy for foreigners that could not follow... More

A [pleasant canalin Toulouse with locks that are interesting to canalphiles like us. Leads to the canal du midi.

The canal is beatiful but nothing special. There is nice walking and running path. There are few boats. A pleasanr place to get away from the city noise.
