Such a history to this bridge. The lowest levels are Roman, followed by medieval construction of the towers and finished in typical Victorian Gothic style just to be sure you realised it was old!

A beautiful, historic, UNESCO-listed bridge with well-maintained gardens alongside. Walking in you can watch the boats navigate the lock below on the far side. Beware the cobbles if you have a wheelchair.
