Fortified towers at each end. Maintained in original materials. Allows beautiful views of the Lot river and dam for the mills. Very nicely lighted at night. We love to walk over it after dinner.

Cahors is a jewel on the river Lot, a fascinating and interesting walk along the bank takes you to this wonderful bridge which rewards a gentle meander on both banks

Such a history to this bridge. The lowest levels are Roman, followed by medieval construction of the towers and finished in typical Victorian Gothic style just to be sure you realised it was old! Lovely walk across the Lot allowing you to appreciate the unique...More

Well worth a visit even if just passing through the town. The town itself is worth staying for at least one or two nights.

A lovely old bridge open for walkers but not cars. Surprisingly low walls and open staircases which must be a safety hazard and I imagine a suicide location - but great nevertheless.

A beautiful, historic, UNESCO-listed bridge with well-maintained gardens alongside. Walking in you can watch the boats navigate the lock below on the far side. Beware the cobbles if you have a wheelchair.

There's nice views from both sides and it's pretty to look at with the reflection of the bridge on the river.

Hope I can look as good if I survive eight centuries! Plus you can find the devil to watch over you? Start with the Malbec vines at the entry. So beautiful on a calm day with the Lot reflecting.

Cahors is not very big and the bridge is accessible from where ever you are by foot. It is a place not to miss if you go there.
