The building and content are really good. Great also for the travelers with special needs. But they need more of a varied exhibition to attract return visitors.

I had spent extensive time here in 1991 and, while still worth seeing, I was sad to see that the staff now closes off the windows that look out over the Tarn River and the wonderful gardens. That was my favorite part, though it is...More

Not only was this a fascinating pictorial story of Toulouse Lautrecs art and life, which was larger than I had anticipated, but the building in which it was housed was equally interesting. It is housed in the old Bishops Palace, next to the cathedral. The...More

I have loved Toulouse-Lautrec's art for many years and was keen to visit this museum. It was a lovely place and informative with the audio guide. I felt it was more of an art gallery with explanations along the way, rather than a museum about...More

Apart from there being a distinct lack of absinthe -- TL's favourite tipple - on offer methinks he would heartily approve of the gallery sporting hundreds of his works from his original posters to portraits and the seamier demi monde of late 19th century Paris....More

This museum has lots of works not taken by the Paris museums after Toulouse-Lautrec died. Lots of early drawings (from age 11!) and preliminary sketches of well known works. A great way to see the process!

This extensive and comprehensive exhibition of the works of Toulouse-Lautrec should not be missed. The building, itself, is stunning and its conversion to art gallery has been done in a most sensitive and creative way. We rented the audio guide. It worked very well and...More

The best collection of Toulouse-Lautrec's paintings for sure. He is my favorite post-impressionist, so we went to Albi specifically to see his work. I was very concerned that our visit fell on Ascension Day which is a Holiday in France. I had emailed the museum...More
