It is a nice place to go for a walk, you can notice the old infrastructure in the middle of the city.

This whole area is such a beautiful place to go for a long relaxing stroll while also learning some history. As well as the beautiful old buildings you'll also see a lot of native plants and birds.

Not far from the train station, this spot is great to visit. Reminisce history and enjoy the architecture and the old way of doing things.

Of strategic importance for over 700 years, this gate is a reminder of the fortifications that once surrounded the area. The rooms located within the main gate house a limited number of interests; however the views from the towers are worth the climb up the...More

Worth a look if you are in this part of town. There is not a lot to see. There is access to pleasant walking trails along the river and old city walls.

An unexpected glimpse of a teutonic gatehouse from a bygone age on a busy traffic roundabout and carriageway. Worth seeking out for a photo or two .

City gate and fortified bridge built in the 13th and 15th centuries. Pretty cool piece of history that makes for a lovely little afternoon stroll.

Well worth the walk to the end of town to see this beautiful and historic gate to the city.... and it's free.

This gate together with the city walls was the place I liked most in Metz. We spent a long time here, taking pictures, searching for the best view, excited like kids. I only missed information in English or German.
