Better university and waterways
Jan. 2021 • Solo
Nearby university and waterways are better places to spend your time. Stained glasses are a feature here.

Spectacular Cathedral - Largest collection of Stained Glass in the World!
Jan. 2020
We visited Metz in May 2019 during our research for our upcoming book "Flavour with Benefits: France".

The cathedral has a beautiful and peaceful ambience. The light from the stained glass is soft and calming and everywhere! Some of the windows have been created by famous artists such as Marc Chagall.

In addition, the Gregorian chant was first created in Metz in the 8th century.

Right across from the Cathedral is the wonderful Covered Market.

Wonderful trip to Metz!

Stunning

A must in this lovely city.
Takes your breath away, the stone glows gold on the outside, intricate carved gargoyles on the entrance.

Crowns the Countryside
Dec. 2019
Glorious, especially during Christmas. A beautiful cathedral well worth a visit. The lacey golden spires crown the cathedral and the surrounding countryside, like a painting come to life..

Beautiful Cathedral
Sep. 2019
There are so many beautiful cathedrals in Europe that it's hard to suggest one over the other. To me the best part of the Metz Cathedral was listening to the gigantic pipe organ. If you are there you might check to see what the schedule is for it being played. We were just lucky. I have a friend who told me she has been there many times and never heard the organ.

Well worthwhile trying to get a packing space next door has a 50 min complementary parking good luck- we paid it only £1 at the car park across the road
This cathedral has the most stained glass windows in one cathedral in the front world.

Spiritual Atmosphere
Jan. 2020 • Family
Impressive Building But the best is inside. Lights were very low, Silence and very few people inside. The bell was ringing. Candle lights. Everything was beautiful.
