We visited Jardins de la Fontaine one sunny Sunday afternoon. It’s a lovely bustling place to soak up the sun and the culture. Simply sit and watch the world go by in gorgeous tranquil surroundings, or if you’re feeling a little more energetic take to...More

Went here a few weeks ago when we were whiling away the afternoon in Nimes. They had some amazing old stonework nd statues and grounds and it was all pretty maintained and the old tower is at the top of the hill. Well worth a...More

We took a picnic and walked and walked. It's not for the faint hearted to get to the top, but so spectacular seeing all the history unfold before you. The gardens are beautiful and so well looked after. We found an amazing spot to unload...More

Beautiful gardens. It was lovely to take some time in the afternoon to walk around. There was a man in a corner somewhere playing a flute which made it all the more relaxing.

The garden has lots of places for walking up the hill, or hanging by the fountain. It is a good simple example of French formal gardens.

Magnificent gardens, beautifully kept. The view from the tower was worth the meandering stroll up to it through the gardens and the climb up the steep steps to reach the top. Visitors should be aware that the tower closes at lunch time and only 15...More

This is a must see while out exploring Nimes. Another example of the Roman influence on the development of major town square and public spaces and water ways.

The place of which the whole city grew from, on a hot day this is such an amazing and refreshing site in the middle of a city. Surrounded by ancient history and beautiful design it's nice to stroll through or sit and relax in.

Yes, it is totally free to walk all around the gardens and the Temple of Diana. Fairly pricey charge to go up the tower at the very top of the gardens, but the view is quite spectacular!
