This place is free, apart from the amazon rainforest house bit. It's a good space, with nice long walks possible. It's not overly commercialised inside with only one cafe and gift shop at the entrance, which both offered reasonably priced goods. There are picnic spots...More

Great day out, lots of animals to see and well laid out and a great children's play area. Great restaurant and very children friendly.

Excellent day out for kids all ages in this lovely Zoo and park in which animals are semi-free and entrance is free! It is a short bus ride from the town.

For a zoo it was ok. The Amazone rain forest was for me the best part. Entry into the zoo is free but there is a charge for the rain forest part. The animals in the main zoo have smaller enclosures than most zoos I...More

The park itself makes for a nice walk but Im not too keen on the size/conditions of some of the enclosures.

Just don't go when it's really hot the animals will be hiding in the shade. There's a lot for picnicking and walking. You could make this the main activity and it's free!
