Beautiful and somewhat unusual

I walked by this cathedrale by chance so I was not disappointed it was closed. It is worth a short walking detour but I wouldn't drive across France to see it

The cathedral offers impressive if somewhat unusual sight from the outside. Disappointing that the internal was not open to the public unlike most churches and cathedrals.

The further you walk round the back the ,ess attractive it is. Some awful sculpture. Once you get inside it's not good. Less interesting the further into in you get It's a bit dark and the stained glass windows are pretty standard. Th

I only had a day in Montpellier, but was advised that this cathedral was beautiful and as I like visiting old churches I decided to go & have a look. It's a Roman Catholic cathedral rebuilt in the 17th century, and I would agree with previous posters that it does have an amazing exterior. Worth a look.

This church has an amazing exterior with large buttressed front. Inside is a more conventional church.

This was an interesting cathedral, the tolling bells drew us to it even when we were lost in a labyrinth of streets. Unfortunately, we were told at the door that we were not allowed to enter as mass was being said. I had hoped to return, but we ran out of time.

This is amazing and tucked away in the old side streets. Walk up the hill and looks from the bars and take in a cold drink.

You come across this cathedral quite suddenly if wandering the maze of medieval streets in Montpellier old town. You are then faced with an intriguing exterior in a mix or architectural styles with it's entrance turrets more reminiscent of a chateau. Inside there is an impressive organ, some quite side chapels with an interesting mix of artistic works but most... More

The exterior is austere and almost foreboding, but the interior is well worth the visit. It is quite beautiful, and the organ is massive.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon in August and it was closed! No notices or information. Visually stunning against a blue sky but disappointing not to be able to go inside.
