Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just skip the whole estate Trianon, Petit Trianon and Queens Hameau.
It was a lot of walking on the sun, and nothing to see there!

I wish I didn't purchase the ticket to see it all.
It is also impossible for an person to return taking the shortcut because they have canals all around the states.
They are literally making you walk LONG LONG distances or buying a train ticket to return.

after spending hours (literally) in the Palace it was wonderful to stretch our legs and take the walk to the Grand Trianon (and its gardens). If we hadn't been to the Palace we would have been in awe of the Grand Trianon - its fine marble, wide open rooms, opulent furniture and prestine gardens BUT everything does pale against the main palace. Detinitely worth the visit though.

Great little place to see while inside Versailles

Be advised that, if you come from the Castle's main entrance it's A LONG walk to get there. Be sure to take your time if you really want to come looking for this

25 min walk in winter time through the Versailles garden and another 40min walk to the closest bus station and 1 h transport back to Paris.

This is one of the palaces in the Chateau de Versailles. The ticket will cover the main palace, Marie-Antoinette estate, gardens, and this.
You will need a full day trip to cover all of this. Highly recommended when in Versailles.

The Grand Trianon is a lovely looking building (very pretty) - low, not so ostentatious and much more 'domestic' in scale, for all that it is still a palace!
The rooms were very attractively (and expensively) furnished, as befits the occupants and its use, with a colourful and interesting range of furniture, furnishings, artworks and craftsmanship.
Although distant from the main chateau at Versailles, it is really worth the distance and the effort (go on the train!!)

After the crazy pace of the main chateau, it was a pleasure to meander through these beautiful rooms, admire the artwork, and relax in the extensive gardens. There's a more laid-back, content pace at the Grand Trianon. It's not as large as the main chateau, but I thought it was every bit as beautiful and grand. Another benefit is that many of the decorations were actual period pieces, seen/used/owned by one of the Louis.

The Grand Trianon has an interesting history and is as beautiful as the château (but less monumental). Here, you get a lot for your money as you can also visit the Petit Trianon, the Gardens and the Hameau. At least as worthwhile as the château and definitely less crowded.
Pay attention: If you leave the audioguide at the château (as they suggest), you won't get one at the Trianon Estate. Which is a pity, because in particular for the Grand Trianon, it it interesting to hear the commentary. => Download the free app and make sure you have either a good data package or download the audio tours before your visit.

Trip to the main palace was eneventful thanks to the heat, crowds and many of the halls being shut for restoration

Took the hop on hop off tram like buggy in the garden and covered the Grand Trianon

It was much peaceful to navigate here .

this building was quite a delight to visit and the royal rooms, furniture etc are quitr elegant . The gardens are fairly huge but we just walked for a small bit

Dont forget to pick up the small trivia booklet if going with kids

Fantastic specially for lovers of Napoleon history.
The building is really beautiful. Amazing furniture. Very well preserved.
Gardens are also beautiful.
From there you can go to the Petit Trianon through the interior gardens connecting both places.
