Wow, it's so good to get out of Palace and the crushing crowds and hot rooms....The Trianons & The Hamlet are very cute and not crowded. You can walk the grounds and they have restrooms, snacks, and beautiful gardens.

We had great fun visiting the fake English country village. The buildings are fun to look at and the market gardens look quite authentic. It is easy to see how the Queen could enjoy herself pretending to be a Country present. Just make sure you...More

Pretty much everything I thought I knew about Marie Antoinette got thrown out the window after taking the guided tour of her palace escape. Gardens for the kids to explore, fairly low key furnishings and being a hands on mom wasn't what I was expecting....More

Nice to escape the crowds in the main chateau and beautiful, scented gardens in summer. More domestic than the main chateau and with space to move.

This was our second visit to Versailles but the first time we made it to the Hamlet. Such a shame, because I think it is our favorite part of the whole massive site. We previously thought the Trianon palaces were more interesting than the main...More

Passport ticket is worth the money otherwise, the place itself would cost 10 euro. I always enjoyed the place where furnitures are better preserved. Garden is nice too.

We met our guide, Yulia, near the train station, and our group of about 16 was given headphones. The train to Versailles was quick and comfortable. Our first stop was a behind the scenes tour of Versailles, where we were accompanied by 2 additional guides...More

Was advised by one of the security guards to visit this place first as not as many people will go there and it's less crowded this is an interesting but underwhelming building it would seemed it was forgotten by the curators. The first floor is...More

First let me say that we really enjoyed exploring the Hamlet and seeing the contrast of the Petit Trianon to the opulence of the main palace (we did not visit the Grand Trianon). We greatly wished that there was more to learn about the Hamlet...More

I don't know exactly because the Trianon is a separate building. But I would say the gardens are open as long the Versailles gardens are open. So all day long till late evening. M.

Hello, You can rent the golf cart on the North terrace. The terrace is located behind the chateaux, on the garden side. You will also need a valid drivers license -- US works and it costs 32 euros an hour. Have a great... More
