Yes, there is a cool monument in the middle of traffic (hmmm, where have I seen that before in Paris?). What makes this square worth a visit is all the activity. When we visited on a Saturday afternoon/evening, there were two dance groups, skateboarders, people...More

Stay around here offer. Seems to be the hub for skateboarding... watch out you don’t get hit by one. Also for all the protests and gatherings.. food for the homeless is also set up at night. Apart from that, it houses a magnificent statue and...More

This is a big square that its just north of the Marais and is a crossroads for a number of neighborhoods. A nice big monument in the center, often there is something going on here. In the middle of a lot of cool areas. I...More

We happen to visit Paris shortly after the unfortunate incident at the theater. From what I understand whenever parisians need to meet this is where they come. I loved the architecture surrounding with touches of modern services. There's great neighborhood restaurants there's a gray small...More

The monument is big and interesting, but for the most part the plaza is a loud, crowded, mass of tourists, skaters, and homeless people. It's very dirty. There are a few decent restaurants around, but you should do some research first. There are also some...More

Many restaurants around and it is good to go with your kid. You can walk to the Picasso museum from here. 遛小孩的好地方,離運河很近,旁邊都是餐廳,也可以走到畢卡索博物館,甚至可以走到聖母院和龐貝藝術中心。

We enjoyed this large, open square which, in springtime, is an ideal place to watch Parisians enjoying themselves at cafes etc. We prefer this square to some of the more well-known meeting places, simply because it is such an enjoyable spot.

More than just one the biggest meeting points of the city. This is where everything started. It is a beautiful square where the 1789 French Revolution happened. Daytime you will enjoy looking at all the architectural details. Night time you will enjoy the effervescent party...More

Historic past and larger than the many squares around Paris. Worth a look if nearby and surrounded as is common with restaurant/cafes

Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made
for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming
bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s
at night this area really comes to life. Students and
young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille
and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock
to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait
for coveted tickets during the day. Towards
