As probably many of the tourists who visit this off-the-beaten-path Parisian neighborhood, for us one of the main triggers was its historic background as one of the centers of the Impressionist movement, as well as its literary associations. The former is mostly known for the...More

Around the railroad tracks leading to Gare St. Lazare you can find a new town in development that includes a huge park, some office towers, including the courts, and some very unusual apartment towers. Otherwise this district is divided in 2 by the tracks, a...More

17th Arrondissement is not the smartest part of Paris but it is quiet locality with very few tourists. As a frequent visitor to Paris, this is where I head for. The Boulevard Pereire is a calm linear garden good for sitting and reading or plenty...More

The Batignolles neighborhood is rapidly gentrifying. It's charming and full of markets and good restaurants. There is a new town being developed along the train tracks with big parks and big housing developments plus the new courts. Come see how it turns out.

We stayed on the border of this neighbourhood and loved it. Lovely parks for picnics, shops and local restaurants. I would consider staying here.
