Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Originally part of a walled city-withiin-a-city belonging to the Knights Templar, part of this site has been a market for more than a thousand years, and ruing the revolution the royal family was imprisoned here. In the 19th century this was a vast covered market, constructed with iron and glass in the aesthetic of the early industrial age; today only this small section remains, converted into a temporary exhibition space for expos and exhibitions, making for a beautiful, lgiht-filled venue. It also has a state-of-the-art dance studio, 250-seat auditorium, and a full independent bar and restaurant.

This is a big building that is used for special expos or events. The area around it is very cool and full of popular cafes and restaurants which seem to be busy all the time. It's a very popular area.

What used to be a market has turned into an elegant establishment, housing artists and designers showing their collections in summer, and other kind of events for the rest of the year.
The outdoors area is really beautiful surrounded by trees, perfect to enjoy a coffee in the nearby cafes, enjoying this magnificent building.

We passed by here a couple of times on our recent visit and noted that it is still a lovely old market building available to be used for various purposes. Gorgeous old industrial architecture.

A big space that is used for various show purposes. We saw a lot of food stalls here for the Fete de la Musique. Works well. Cool neighborhood.

Unfortunatly a really not interesting restoration inside, the best part remains the architecture (visible from outside) and the nice atmosphere behind: bar, a small square with tree... so French!

Just reopened, after 10 years of renovation, the Carreau du Temple is a big hall room under glass roof with exhibition spaces. I went for a fencing demonstration, a Japanese Buto dance and an Aikido class, all for free. There were also table tennis to use also for free; 3 outside and several inside. In the evening there were also organising a ball for everybody to dance together. I think they are trying to make people come back again. To be followed if the programming is good enough.
