This was a fantastic Cheese adventure. Debbi is a wonderful hostess and has an extensive knowledge of cheeses, cheese history, french cheeses by region, basically anything you want to know about cheese, she will know or know where to find out! We started out at one of her favorite cheese mongers in Paris. She pointed out a wide variety of options and let us make the selections. We then went back and sampled our selections with wine parings. It was a fantastic experience. Would highly recommend to anyone that is not lactose intolerant!

We met Debbi and Domaines-Terroires on a custom one week tour of the Les Causses region of France two years ago. It was the most memorable trip our family has ever had, especially as it focused on cheese- my husband's passion. Planning a return visit to France, we knew we needed to connect with Debbi again.
Following a two-week tour of Brittany and Normandy, we met Debbi for a quick tour of a couple of her favorite cheese shops in Paris, picking up several types we cannot find in the US and some we can but which are nothing like the French version. We hurried to the train for a trip to Burgundy, enjoying a fabulous lunch on board of cheese, wine, and accompaniments with Dbbie walking us through the high points of enjoying cheese to the max. In Burgundy we got a glimpse of Dijon and its famous mustard, had a cheese tasting at the Gaugry creamerie, and enjoyed the beautiful Burgundian landscape. Alas, it was over too soon.
Debbi knows so much about French culture, food, cheese and is like an old friend you reconnect with as though you have never been apart. We are already dreaming of our next opportunity to meet again.

I have spent years wanting to learn more about cheese, that divine food. I have always been in awe of the French for their knowledge of it and the vast....and daunting....range of choices. I had so many questions. Debbi Baron has enlightened me today. An enthusiastic, affable, articulate American who's lived in Paris for 20 years, Debbi orchestrated a perfect day. Starting with coffee and a chat about the goals and expectations of the day, the Eiffel Tower standing proudly in front of us, we proceeded to visit some of the top cheese shops. Debbi explained the cheeses in depth, a selection was purchased, a couple more shops visited, and then on to her stylish, cozy home in Passy. Champagne followed by our cheese flight with wine, fruit and bread, followed by an elegant light lunch. After this one day, I feel so much more confident about selecting and appreciating cheeses. The main question I have now is, "why did I wait so long?" Thank you, Debbi. You and the day were fabulous. One of my best days ever spent in Paris.

Thanks so much Karrie, lunch was full of great conversation and so glad you all were able to eat your way through that mountain of cheese and come out at the other end encouraged to go buy more! We hope to see you again in Paris on your next trip.

Imagine that you always wanted to go to Paris but had no idea how you could see all the things you had read about and dreamed about without rushing through everything and enjoying nothing. Voila! Domaines & Terroirs!
You e mail Debbi what you want to see, visit, and experience and then she starts working her magic. Flea markets, museums, churches, shopping, strolling, chocolate, if you can put a name to it, you can go there. Debbi takes everything you list and puts together an itinerary laying out each day you have available so that you are going everywhere you want to and no where you don't. No wasted time, no going some place that got great reviews but closed last week. It's like having a really good friend who has lived in and explored every part of Paris guiding you to places they know you will enjoy. I can't say enough good things about Domaines & Terroirs. Do not miss the cheese day! It was a wonderful way to spend part of our last day in Paris. We plan on returning to France and are looking forward to more of Debbi's magic on our next tour.

We learned a lot and had an enjoyable day on our Paris cheese tour with Domaines et Terroirs. It was delightfully informative and gave us real insights into the cheese making and marketing process that is so intrinsically French. Our visit to a cheese shop and interview with the manager helped us to visualize and classify the wide variety of French cheeses. And the tasting afterwards was essential in figuring out which kinds of cheese we want to try further. I appreciated that we received handouts to take home and study, and suggestions for further reading and shopping. I’ve recommended their tours to friends who travel to Paris.

This was a wonderful introduction to...cheese: where and how to buy it, and, of course, how to eat it. (You thought you knew!). When you set off for France, you of course had visions of fromage dancing in your head...but once you set foot on French territory, did you really know the first thing about how to deal with cheese beyond buying a few slices of your old favorites and eating them? Once Debbi and Jean-Paul show you a couple of Paris' fromageries, you'll know SO much more. Not only does this personal couple welcome you into their home and make your feel like honored guests, but by the end of the cheese adventure, you feel as if you really, really know how to choose and eat cheese...I promise you, you'll be ready to venture into a fromagerie on your own (even if you don't really speak French) and will feel confident that your choices will be good ones. You'll also know how to ask for the fromagers for help. Don't miss this if you have any interest in delving into true French eating. Wonderful. The only problem is that once you're back home, you may feel a bit picky about cheese, leaving your friends and your local cheese shop wondering what's got into you. The Gourmet Ghetto's Cheeseboard in Berkeley, Calif.? I learned far more from Debbi.

This was a wonderful, educational, tasty experience. It was a chance to learn about cheese and get a real inside look at a local cheese store and meet the Fromagier. I never realized there is
so much to tasting cheese even down to the time of year and what grass the animal would have
been eating. It has changed the way I buy cheese now that I am home. Debbi loves what
she does and her enthusiasm is abundant.

We were so fortunate to have Debbi take us on a tour of an incredible cheese shop and to spend time with her. Her knowledge of and passion for cheese is extensive and it was incredible to spend time with Debbi and her partner at her apartment. Our two children (10 and 15) absolutely loved it and we all agreed it was the highlight of our trip. We will definitely contact Domaines & Terroirs again on our next visit.
