We just loved the Batobus! We got the 2-day pass, found the pass very well-priced and we loved the freedom it gave us. We walked all day every day, and the Batobus was a great way to rest our weary feet and still soak up the fabulous view. Stops are all very conveniently located, and I have to particularly commend... While it is great to see Paris from the Seine, and this is probably one of the more cheaper (and better options), it is still over priced. It offers no commentary, spends too long at each stop and while the staff are pleasant enough they are just going through the motions. If you are able enough I think the views... More

I took a one day pass as this was my last day in Paris which was for 17 euros. the two day pass is 19 euros. but i think this is very good value for money. you can basically see the whole city from this. I was getting of and on from this during the day. in the even i... More

As a 70 year old, with limited walking capabilities, I found the Batobus experience excellent in every way. Some may criticise this service for the lack of commentary, however, having researched this first on line, I was not expecting a sight seeing cruise commentary. It is a 'water bus service' designed to get you from A to B. There are... More

We booked via the Internet prior to going and had a fantastic deal allowing us 2 days hop on hop off boating along the seine! It takes in all the major sites and ensures a more tranquil journey around Paris.

While there is no commentary on the Batobus boats, we did find this a less-stressful, more relaxing, and comfortable mode of transportation during our recent week in Paris. We used the Metro, and it was not all that difficult, but there is something to be said for being able to "view" your current location on the Seine. They advertise 8... More

We thought it would be a good idea to take this boat, but I think there were better options. You can hop on and hop off on different stops and the waiting time is not very long. The boat was very hot, it was about 25 degrees Celsius out, it felt like 35. There is glass on the sides so... More

This is a hop on, hop off boat along the major spots along the Seine. There are no toilets on board and drinks and food cannot be purchased either, but it is a very good way to see the main sights.

My day on the Batobus was one of my Paris highlights. I should have bought the 2 day pass I enjoyed it so much, I did the entire route which takes 2 hours and 30 minutes and then took a few stops. I went back again later in the day for another round trip. No crowds, a bit of tour... More

We had a great experience with the Batobus. Got a two-day pass and enjoyed a few rides. On the last run to the Eiffel Tower they made extra effort to get us there right as the lights were twinkling at 10pm, it was appreciated! Everyone who worked there that we spoke to was very friendly.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
