Scenic terraced garden
Jan. 2020
Walking around Montmartre, was so much, we found this lovely
garden (named after a French advertising magnate)
away from the madding crowds, to have a rest,
what we especialy liked was it had one Paris’s famous self cleaning (free), toilets.

Great Spot for a Break
Jun. 2018 • Couples
It’s small, but it’s peaceful and beautiful. We visited on a Sunday and saw many locals playing with their little ones. Worth a rest stop after you’ve climbed to the Basilica.

A Small Public Park
May 2018 • Couples
This park is located right behind the Sacre Coeur. After seeing so many tourists hanging around at the front side of the church, here, at the back side of the church was totally quiet. You can sit on the benches and take a rest. By a nice weather people come for a picnic.

Behind the Sacre-Coeur there is peace and quiet
Aug. 2016 • Couples
The square is behind the Sacre-Coeur Basilica. I found out this square by chance because i was looking for a rest room. In this square it's quite isolated in contrast with the people and tourists occupying the frontage and inside the beautiful church. But there were few people around in one of the shady portions. They were the ones who helped me then directing the restroom.

The area has a garden and the small amphitheater with some ornamental shrubs and few seats and a playground. The place is ideal for picnic or a short stop. One can also get the best perspective of the Basilica.

Grand view of Sacre Coeur
Jan. 2015 • Friends
Parc de la Turlure is a quiet park in the shadow of Sacre Coeur. It is at the rear and pleasantly devoid of tourists. There is a shady arbour with plenty of benches where you can have lunch. The is also a handy public toilet. This was once the site of one of the many windmills on Montmartre hill.
