Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

this huge fountain is at one of the entry points into the Latin Quarter. It is in a small plaza that is dwarfed by it. The sculpture is of the Angel Michael in his fight against evil. very busy intersection so it's hard to get a good photo.

This was built as a monument by Haussmann to mark a perspective. It does break up the straight line of the north-south axis, but that is OK as it is a landmark and lovely. Very popular with students as a meeting place and it begins the long route of Boulevard Saint Michel.

Just as you leave Ile de la Cite and march up Blvd. St. Michel, you find this very large fountain that was built as a part of the Haussmann urban renewal. Now a very popular meeting place for young people, especially the many students who are living and studying in this area.

It's a nice fountain and worth going to see. There are small shops with food, pastry, and other shopping within a few blocks of the fountain. There aren't a lot of places near the fountain to sit and hang out.

We woke up starving and wanted something more than pastries. We landed at Le Fontaine St. Michel. The waiter was very accommodating. His smile and desire to please helped us overcome his lack of English.
The American breakfast is everything one could hope for in Paris. Croissants, baguette, bacon/ham and eggs. Also, incredible French butter, juice and one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. (Heads up: coffee almost ALWAYS come with milk in it unless you ask for none).
We would highly recommend Fountaine and may go back ourselves tomorrow.

This is a beautiful fountain worth seeing if you’re near Norte Dame. Stop and relax in the small square while taking some pics. The architecture is wonderful.

For years, Fontaine Saint-Michel has been one of my favorite spots in the Latin Quarter to meet friends. The fountain makes up a wall bordering the Place Saint-Michel so it is impossible to miss someone. And Metro stop St. Michel is nearby, which means the fountain is easy to reach.

The monumental work (85 feet high and 49 feet wide) stands on the border of the 5th and 6th arrondissements and is a good place to begin an exploration of the Quarter. Sometimes it is difficult to get going, however, because of attention-catching performers, from jugglers to musicians, in the vicinity.

Symbolizing the triumph of good over evil, the fountain displays an array of sculptures and ornaments and many colors -- red, green, blue, yellow and bronze. Depictions include Saint Michel, sword in hand; two water-spouting dragons; and the cardinal virtues. Finished in 1860, the creation was the last monumental wall fountain to be built in Paris. Subsequent monumental fountains have been freestanding.

As a fountain junkie (Rome, beautiful Rome) I was thrilled to come upon this fountain by surprise - it was probably the only thing unplanned and unexpected in our whole itinerary. Having just come from the Medici fountain in the Luxembourg Garden, this was an added treat for us - two for the price of one! This fountain is located in Place St. Michel, at the end of Blvd St Michel, right before the river. It's a busy square and the fountain is the star.

Nice fountain. Didn’t spend much time here. Went to meet up for the Sandeman walking tour that starts here. It’s pretty.
