This is a market worth visiting, whether you are a local or just visiting. The numerous food offerings are fresh, and the non-food categories are extensive. Note: it helps to know at least a little French, because some vendors will/do not speak English.

Wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning. The food is fantastic and beautifully displayed. We found the market stall holders to also be very friendly, so no problem going there as a “tourist”. The only difficulty is in stopping from buying something at every stall!...More

An excellent, large, busy Thursday and Sunday morning market, well frequented by locals. You can taste before you buy and everything is fresh and appetising. Take a bag and stock up with ingredients for a picnic, or meals if you are self-catering in Paris. Prices...More

This market has a good variety of clothes, trinkets, hats and other items you would normally expect in a flea market. I found some good value items -0 a skirt for 5 Euro and a top for 4 euro, as well as a nice hat...More

I stayed in Bastille and read about the market. It was much smaller than I expected, and despite what some other reviews had written, I didnt think it seemed overly expensive or inflated in price at all. We bought quite a few good cheeses here...More

I have been going to this market for the past four years, ever since I have been in Paris. It's a great market to pick up things as a local and as a traveler. You can get crepes or pizza or sandwiches for lunch, and...More

It was a lovely place to visit, a very enjoyable hour spent looking at food offerings. My wife and I bought some cheese from a very helpful vendor who spoke English. We bought some vegetables for dinner and we ate some roast chicken and potatoes...More

I got curious about the word la botte and checked Wiktionary. The expression la botte have various meanings and one of them "a bundle (of flowers)".

Bastille market is... a market. You can buy fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish and different kinds of meats. You can purchase bread or sample various kitchens. If you're looking for cheap make-up, look elsewhere.
