We spent the afternoon with our guide Pierre and some friends aroud Belleville in Paris. After an useful introduction about the area history, Pierre guides us into colored and hidden streets, embellishing our walk with interesting information and funny facts. We discovered street art treasures, and we even crossed a street that appeared in a famous movie! He also answered... More

Away from tourists, we visited the neighborhood of Belleville ! I have been living in Paris for 4 years, and still, I discover a new face of Paris. The knowledge of the guide is quite impressive, and the tour is perfectly tied together ! I recommend this tour to anyone looking for a new way of visiting Paris.

As a tour professional I was particularly impressed with Pierre's ability to calibrate our time with my clients. He was brilliant, energetic without being hyper, able to pace the time to meet the needs of our group in a very sensitive and gracious way, and obviously is passionate about what he does. We had a marvelous time discovering Butte aux... More

I've been to Paris numerous times in the past, and this summer stayed for 3 weeks - the longest period so far. I took both Pierre's tour of the 13th Arrondissement, as well as Bastille. I liked the non-touristy feel of his walking tours. You will see a lot of street art and pretty details on the way, and get... More

I took the tour in Buttes-aux-Cailles with my language school and Pierre gave the tour in French, nice and clear for everyone to be able to understand. He knew lots of interesting stories and information, and obviously was well acquainted with the area and prepared for the tour. I'd highly recommend for anyone looking for tours of the parts of... A great insight discovery to a neighborhood where I wouldn't have gone on my own. My guide Pierre, from meetmyparis, introduced me to a really wonderful district and the fascinating street art of la Buttes aux Cailles.

Our guide Pierre was very friendly and he did a great job of weaving together background on the street art movement with the history of Butte aux Cailles. I've been to Paris a few times, but learned lots of new stuff on our tour -- including a forgotten river and an almost forgotten workers' revolution.

I live in Paris and learned so much on this tour! Pierre is very knowledgable about the artists and how the history of Paris and street art intersect. He even altered our tour so we could bring a baby stroller with us... so helpful! I would definitely recommend the Butte aux Caille tour for anyone from a tourist, to a... More

I like out of the way places. The best tour book I found that's studded with amazing walks is No Worries Paris. I got around using the metro and bus and when I found this quarter I finally felt I was in the real Paris.

Meet My Paris is a very cool and not-touristy way of visiting Paris and seeing something you would never find on your own. I took the tour in la Butte aux Cailles, where the tour guide told us a lot of interesting stories and facts about both the area and the street art, that is in almost every corner of... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
