A great food market that saved our butts: due to some issues with money owed to me by my clients, we arrived in Paris on a very tight budget. We were staying in the wonderful apartment of a friend-of-a-friend nearby and someone said we MUST shop this market. We bought fresh fruit and vegetables, bread and cheese, a rotisserie chicken... I loved visiting this market twice on my recent stay at the Citadines opposite. We bought the triple creme cheese and some home made fois gras and had a picnic with one of baguettes. Delicious. I bought my daughter a couple of smocked dresses there. Not a lot of things to buy except food. The berries were very good. We... More

Three lanes of food, souvenirs, clothes, music, and much more. We went around noon on a Sunday and the place was packed and lively. Vendors tolerated my terrible French with a smile. I got cheese, wine, bread, and sausages.

I'm from Oregon, so rain doesn't stop me, but the stalls do shed a lot of rain that will hit those walking between them, so if it's raining, be prepared for a soaking. In return you'll be rewarded with fresh cheese and veggies and some cheap souvenirs from China and local honey and soaps and interesting things that make it... More

We stumbled upon this market while strolling near our Air BnB apartment. It's huge! And colourful, full of locals, reasonable prices for Paris. Even if you don't buy fruit, veg, meat, cheese, flowers, souvenirs or clothes, it's fun just to people watch. There's also food stands, so we grabbed a middle eastern sandwich, sat on a bench and watched the... More

Again, we have lived in Paris years ago and visited at least annually for many years and this is the first time we have been to this market. We usually have stayed closer to St. German, the islands, or the 7th and have gone to the Marche Maubert in the 5th or the Rue cler market in the 7th. This... More

We simply adore this market. There's pretty much everything (except couture clothing) here from food to wearables and housewares. One never knows what you might leave here with- this trip was belts, a padlock(which was turned into a necklace pendant) and wooden balls to soak up essential oil and use as potpourri- what a diverse collection. One real treat was... More

Wanted some snacks to take back to our hotel so elided to hit the food market. The cheeses on offer were mid blowing. Lots of venders are happy to let you try before you buy which is a nice touch. We sent far too much and couldn't eat it all as usual but what an experience. Loved it
