This museum is in the house where the sculptor Maillol and his model Dina Vierny lived. It is an interesting permanent collection and often stages superior temporary shows. A few years ago a great one on Schiele and Vienna, and curently one on Giacometti. Recommended.

The permanent exhibition of Maillol’s art is stunning. Heaving said that I loved the current Modigliani special exhibition. When I went there was no queuing and therefore, at least during the off season, no need to book in advance

Drawing almost exclusively on works from the Giacometti Foundation, this small exhibition shows attractive examples of Giacometti sculptures along with some of his contemporaries.

I adore Maillol, so I thoroughly enjoyed this little museum. They have a Giacometti exhibit on right now, and seeing the contrast between the two sculptors is worth a trip. And if you can't get enough of Maillol, go to the Tuileries and revel in...More

Went to the very interesting Fujita expo here. I can report that this museum works very well as a display space. The permanent collection of Maillol's sculpture is important in art history and a must for fans.

Went to see the extraordinary Japanese early 20thC artist Fujita contemporary of Cezanne and Picasso. Some of his work is inevitably derivative but his later 'white' period of simple white portraits with just a hint of colour are sublime. Well curated and presented. Interesting choice....More
