Unfortunately I visited The Pussy Club in Pigalle: The worst club I've ever seen! They deceive you into thinking you'll only pay €35 at the entrance, and then shortly after you enter, they ask you to pay a €400 bill, even if you haven't had anything to drink. They are also threatening if you refuse to pay. They scam tourists!! Absolutely not recommended!!!

Pigalle is a very fun area of Paris. It is full of restaurants, bars, adult amusement centers, adult product stores and right there is the Molin Rouge. There are a lot of table dancing shows and people look really funny. I don't recommend it very night xq there are several homeless that may bother you. It's better to be accompanied than at dawn.

Beware of place previously named all-in, now renamed to "up" but same digital banner. They are scammers. Seems they are back to business to swingle people by saying 10€ and the girls order drinks and add it to your bill. This place should be closed down.

The actual Place, where you exit from the Metro, is not all that distinguised as there is a lot of traffic on the boulevard, including tourist buses, and the immediate buildings are not that interesting. But step off the square and on the surrounding streets you will find one of the new "it" neighborhoods in Paris, SoPi, full of very cool bars and cafes and lots of young people. The sex shops have been replaced. And there are famous historic theaters on the boulevard.

Fantastic city, we'll be back next year, there's so much to see. People behaved with us very, very well. Everything is expensive?, depends, there are alternatives. The hotel very good, for situation, cleanliness, comfort, very good breakfast buffet for 11 euros, comfortable mattress, quiet, has a nice little inner courtyard, Hotel Du Printemps Boulevard Picpus. The reception staff excellent professionals.

I went to pigalle moulin rouge and everything was seemed okay to me..after a little walk,I saw strip club man calling me like "hey man, would you like a striptease show?"I said "how much is it?"he said "it just 20 euros man"I said ok.I entered the place but only one in the bar was me.so a young girl came to me and she did some striptease for 2 min!and then they required me to pay 680 euros!I said no,after said no,some bodyguards showed up,and the old lady pushed me to pay this sum.she checked my pockets and they said give your credit card, and they took it from me and they charged me with this amount.so I want to warn people from here.go pigalle but especially I think this is a system!so in pigalle, there is a erotic museum, where many people sees many adult pictures and vintage porn movies up there..after a little walk in museum, you've got horny and these stripclubs looks to you charming!so it's a game to have your money.be careful and never go any bars or strip club.I made a little research about them..they're all mafia related companies.also I went to france police, they said "go and grab a french person and come again!"so I got a girl on my lap, that's ok.but I would get foursome with girls to this price in paris I think.so be careful!

After having just arrived back in England with my boyfirend, I am pleased to say we had a wonderful time in Paris. BUT please be aware of Pigalle! We were coaxed into entering a club which we thought would be your normal lap dancing club, little did we know... We paid 20 euros to get in with the promise of 2 free drinks (I was allowed free entry as part of the "ladies free" offer.)Once we entered the place was pitch black and completely empty apart from 3 half naked girls and a couple of scary looking barman. Once we sat down we were given our drinks as promised as well as a not-so good looking woman for company. She bgan talking, just general chit chat "where are you from...blah blah blah".She then mentioned something about getting herself a drink,we agreed believing she would be actually getting herself one then sitting down with us again. Turns out she ordered a bottle of champagne! My boyfriend then asked who would be paying for this, at this point the woman became very rowdy claiming we "should have understood at the time and not 2 minutes later", somehow believing we were patronising her english speaking skills. The bar man came over and reassured us that we would only have to pay for the glass which didn't seem to bad. We asked the woman to leave and shortly afterwards a bill was brought over to us by a man came for 50 euros! It was very frightening and we felt as though we had to pay rather than face the consequences of not doing so!Once we paid he asked for a further 10 euros for service!I'm not usually one for writing for reviews but these places are disgusting -AVOID them LIKE THE PLAUGUE.

My snooty hotel concierge recommended emphatically that I not make the trip to Pigalle as it may offend my delicate feminine sensibilities. Therefore, the next evening my husband and I went to Pigalle for drinks before departing for dinner.

If you're wondering what Pigalle, the infamous red light district, is like to visit (outside of the brothels) then I'd say it has it's pros and cons.

On the plus side, Pigalle has actually become a trendy place to live and therefore it is being updated. It's not too seedy but it certainly has a darker vibe to it. However, I didn't expect it to be Disneyland. Not at any time did I feel unsafe. There were several regular bars (drinks only, no prostitutes) especially around the Moulin Rouge which were fine.

On the negative side, you'll have to put up with pimps or working girls constantly harrassing you to enter their "clubs" and although we were amused to be offered a 50% discount as a couple as we walked past, the best thing is just to ignore them. I have read/heard negative things about this district so I would think gentlemen should do their research before visiting. Pigalle, compared to Amsterdam's Red Light District, didn't seem as organized or trustworthy. Of course, the ladies in Holland are unionized though. :)

All in all, it's interesting to see how other people live and especially to observe how tolerate other nations can be. If you are open-minded then a trip up (St. George's metro) can be an okay experience but I wouldn't put it right below "the Louvre" on my to-do list of things to see in Paris.

My trip was actually ten years ago but Tripadvisor doesn't allow entering a date that old. Reading the recent reviews of Paris' infamous red light district, I see that nothing has changed so I thought I'd share an experience from when my girlfriend and I went to Paris for Christmas (a few days before the Euro was introduced). Here is what I wrote my credit card company (MBNA) when I got back from the trip:

"Last Christmas holiday, I was visiting Paris for the first time with my girlfriend, her mother and her 87 year-old grandfather. During a bus tour, our drive through Paris’s nightclub district prompted the grandfather to pester me to take him to a strip club because he’d never been to one. Thereafter, on the evening of December 26th, the girls went to shop while “Gramps” and I went to look at the wild side of Paris.

Intending it to be a short excursion, we agreed to pick just one place and wandered until we found a suitable candidate—the “Sex O” Club—not fancy. The sidewalk tout asked for 40 francs each (about $6), so we paid and in we went.

Inside, the club was empty except for a bartender setting up the bar and two women helping out. No patrons, no entertainers, no nothing. It was obvious that we’d arrived way too early, but, as we turned to leave, they insisted that we stay and have a drink. Since we were already there, we accepted the invitation. I ordered a glass of wine and Gramps asked for tap water. Instead, they brought us two glasses of mineral water. The two girls, dressed in street clothes, then sat down and asked “You buy dreenk?” Although I replied that we’d already bought drinks, they nodded to the bartender who then brought over two pink drinks for the girls.

We politely chit-chatted until we’d finished our mineral waters and then got up to leave. Again, however, they insisted that we stay because “Zee show iz coming!” “Zee show” turned out to be a very bored looking dancer, who must have been awakened from a nap in the back room. She proceeded to dance half-a-number and, while she was dancing, the two girls ordered two more pink drinks for themselves (we declined any more beverages). After the dancer finished, we stood up and asked for “zee bill.” We’d been in the club for less than a half-hour. The bartender busily tallyied the amount for our two waters and then thrust out the check saying “Zat weel bee four zousand five hundred francs.” Thinking I’d heard wrong, I asked “You mean forty-five francs?”

Shoving the paper at me, he assured, no, the bill was 4,500 francs (approximately $650 dollars). Seeing my shocked look, he got nasty and yelled “You buy two dreenks for you and four dreenks for girls.” Ignoring my protests that we hadn’t ordered any drinks for the girls, he got nastier, yelling “You Americans zink you come Paris and don’t pay? You zink you are dangerous? You zink you are mafia? I show you mafia!”

Refusing to pay $650 for two glasses of water, I pulled out my cash and insisted that he charge a fair price. He grabbed the money out of my hands (about $120 dollars) and said “Also give cash card.” I said “No” and then grabbed Gramps by the sleeve and started toward the door. Voila, from out of nowhere, some goon with a bat went to the door, locked it, and menacingly walked toward us. Without a word he slammed me AND Gramps back toward the bartender (who I think was really the manager.)

Realizing the situation was actually getting dangerous, especially with Gramps in tow, I asked the bartender what would satisfy him. He said “Give cash card and I charge 1,200 francs more.” Denying that I had a cash card (since I know you can’t dispute them), I gave him my MBNA Visa card. He ran it through his machine and made me sign the charge slip (with goon-holding-bat behind me.) He didn’t give me a copy of the receipt, so I don’t know what vendor name appeared on the charge (apparently “JAMAGA”).

The night it happened, I reported the incident to MBNA. Also, on the next business day, I went to the French police and spent three hours filing a complaint.

In closing, would you please reverse the charge? Further, I highly recommend that Visa (and all other creditors) deny financing services to these thugs."
-----------
POSTSCRIPT: MBNA, now Capital One, refused to pay, saying that because I'd signed the slip, there was nothing they would do about it. Needless to say, I cancelled my MBNA card and have refused Capital One's subsequent offers.

It also turned out that the criminals' credit card machine printed that it was from a casino, implying that I'd been gambling. NOT the case.

Pigalle and Club La Diva at the end of the street is full of thieves and robbers.
While my recent trip to Paris and not knowing what Pigalle had to offer, I visited the place to get a feel of the red light district in Paris.
While I was infront of Club La Diva walking, some lady approached me for a drink and show for 20 euros. While I went in and was seated in a dark corner, a lady came and sat on me and said lap dance. When I didn't want it, she called the manager and took 400 euros from my wallet saying that the amount was for the drink for the lady (which I didnt order) and the lap dance. After some fist fighting with the ladies and guards upfront, i could get out of there.
Too bad I didn't read about the area and La Diva Club as the same thing was reported in various forums regarding the joint.
Please avoid the area. The district is not regulated at all and is a tourist trap. Never ever walk pass the Club La Diva at pigalle and never go inside of such joints who offers drinks.
