If you like Bordelle, this museum is a must. Otherwise be prepared for large-scale sculptures and a thorough life history. Set in a charming neighborhood. Off the beaten Path.

This quiet museum in Montparnasse had been on my list of places to visit for some time. It's easy to reach by metro and well signposted. Bourdelle was an illustrator, painter and sculpture who, at one stage, worked alongside Rodin. The museum is set in and around his former studios and garden. It is low key but well worth a... More

Paris abounds in artist's ateliers, however this has got to be one of the most amazing. How did I never hear of this exciting museum before? This place has it all: you will exit with a complete appreciation of Bourdelle and his processes. There are many different parts to visit, both indoors and out. Don't miss any of them. And... More

This Museum takes his name from the sculptor Antoine de Bourdelle ; Montparnasse has an important testimony of the past, of an artistic point; Many paintings, and superb scultures to admire.

I didn't this artist... a Rodin fellows. Actually I found what he has done impressive! An amount of work remarkable. The museum get a free part and an exhibit that you need to pay (worth it) Constructed in a way that you see how Bourdelle progress in his art! In 2h you have done the round trip. For sure you... Awesome works, truly beautiful and a great museum visit! We enjoy the more intimate museums, not mobbed and one is able to stroll and admire in peace.

We step in Bourdelle Museum by chance. Although it is not one of the top museums in Paris, we found this little museum full of charm and amazing art works. We were lucky and arrived at the time when a guided tour started. The guide was so passionate with his narratives and stories, we loved it! It's a very local... More

I discovered this little museum and found it extremely interesting and pleasant, especially the wide range of rather big statues exhibited in the lovely little gardens. It is a very peaceful place full of atmosphere, undoubtedly because Bourdelle had his studio and an apartment there which can be visited. The entrance to the museum is free.

This museum was a good find, not far from Gare Montparnasse. It is free to visit. There are many fantastic sculptures to see. There is a garden with sculptures as well as halls and rooms with sculptures. I particularly enjoyed seeing the artist's studio. I bought a book of his work as a souvenir.

Bourdelle was a pupil of Auguste Rodin, so it is fitting that this museum has a feel similar to Musee Rodin, with the artist's works being pleasingly displayed indoors & in garden settings. "Hercules the Archer" is the sculptor's best known piece. "The Dying Centaur" leaves one feeling uncomfortable.
