After peeking into the Palais Royale and enjoying the art within, we walked through the gardens. All the chairs were filled with people enjoying the warmth of the sun and the quietude. It was a bit late in the season for flowers, but the lush green lawn surrounded by historic buildings with their strong columns was beautiful!

I love this place and come each time I am in Paris. The colonades surrounding the big garden are harmonious, the garden is immaculate, the fountains sumptuous, and there are plenty of places to sit for free. Some shopping around. Famous people lived here, like Colette.

Paris is known for its numerous parks and gardens, this is not the largest and not the most beautiful of all, but it is cozy, it is close to the station and the gallery Vivianne, in addition to having several restaurants and shops nearby. The park itself is beautiful, it has a few small grids that separate one garden from the other, all with benches to sit, read a book, eat a little bit. I think from time to time there's some exhibition or event there. It's worth visiting just don't wait long.

The sun was shining and you could sit and take in the beauty , Ignore noise and focus on what a fantastic venue this garden is. Smell the fresh cut grass, admire the tulips and relax. A wonderful break from the whirl even if it is brief .

We have visited a-lot of gardens/parks, during our stay in Paris. This beautiful garden is not as touristy as its close by cousin, gardens tuileries. It has everything it has just in a smaller scale. Due to the lack of crowds, there is plenty of seating to have a picnic lunch or read a book, so peaceful. Definitely worth a visit, before the word gets out.

We discovered Jardin du Palais Royal because it was very close to our hotel. Beautiful flowers and cafes to sit and grab a cappuccino. Highly recommend!

The Jardin du Palais Royal Gardens I a perfect spot to walk, contemplate and hang out among the most beautifully manicured hedges, seating in the back-door of La Comedie Francese, with it’s right side entrance plaza decorated with polka-dotted sculptures by Daniel Buren's and 260 black-and-white striped columns, that has become the garden's signature feature.
The garden is framed so beautifully by a trio of arcades, the Galerie de Valois, Galerie de Montpensier, and Galerie Beaujolais.
This elegant urban space is fronted by the neoclassical Palais Royal, which is not open to the public, constructed in 1633 by Cardinal Richelieu but mostly dating to the late 18th century. Louis XIV hung out here in the 1640s; today it is home to the Conseil d'État .
It is said that famous French writer Collete had an Apartment Particulier above the galerie.
Under the Arcades you will find some well-curated Art Galleries like Galerie IBU, owned by beloved artist Irèna Poilâne with an amazing collection of Objects D’Art, jewelry by artist Alina Alamorean and always curated by Über art dealer Cyril Ermel.
You will find designer boutiques like Stella McCartney, Pierre Hardy, Jerome Dreyfuss, and a beautiful new store “Epice” that sell the most exquisite+colorful pashmina foulards in amazing prints and colors. Plus leather bags accessories.
It is a destination not to be missed, planed to be hungry for lunch or tea so you can eat at famous Café de Foy…since 1725.

Les Jardins du Palais Royal are hidden near le Louvre, behind the theater La Comedie Francaise. You pass a gate and you find yourself in an enchanted place starting with the famous black and white colums of Burennes, a lovely place to take photos because, even though it is a work of art, you can walk around and sit on the columns. All around the garden, at the ground floor of magnificent old buildings, are beautiful and special shops, some very old selling unusual things: toy soldiers, old books and antiques, old medals, other shops are very fashionable, like Marc Jacobs, Stella Mac Cartney, and a vintage shop with the most beautiful Haute Couture dresses and accessories. The garden itself is a French garden, with the trees arranged in a very geometric pattern and a beautiful fountain in the middle. It is nice to see some people living in the neighborhood walking their little dogs and some children playing, even if it was quite cold. At the moment, there is a lot of renovation work around the garden but don't let this put you off, just walk pass the scaffoldings. When all this renovation work will be completed, the gardens will be even more beautiful. After walking in the garden, we always like to sit at the cafe Nemours, just near la Comedie Francaise. The terrace under the old arcades is beautiful and they have a delicious croque-monsieur.

A peaceful park where you can take a break from the crowds and noise of the Louvre. At least I suspect that’s how it works in non-COVID times. The tree lined paths are gorgeous and I assume more so in the fall. The fountain in the center has chairs where you can sit with a snack or take a break while the kids run around the rest of the park.

A very nice vast park with parallel trees that give you a wonderful illusion while walking amidst them. There is also a nice fountain in the middle where you can see people enjoying their books or just the nice weather.

We will be visiting Jardin du Palais Royal next week but I can't seem to find any specific information about entrances. We will be walking to the gardens from the northwest side. Is there more than one entrance? It looks like the main entrance is on the south side. Can someone give me some specifics as to where to enter from? Thanks!
Written 9 May 2016
You can go from the north entrance from Rue des Petits Champs. Jardin du Palais Royal is filled with classical parisian architecture and a famous art installation.
