Been to Europe many times for business
I am used to train delays within 60mins. Used to be better back in the days but I’m not complaining.
I never go through France and this was my first time taking the TGV. I can’t believe how...More
With a degree of apprehension we booked train travel from Paris St Lazare to Bayeux and eventually on though to St Malo. Train travel was quiet efficient and we were impressed with our experience. Taxis were not always available at our destinations but we made...More
TGV Lyon to Brussels. First class but zero service. I mean zero. Dirty, old and worn chairs. The buffet car is a disaster. Nothing substantial to eat, nothing for vegetarians. TGV is an example of service that has declined through cost cutting but still expensive...More
I travel frequently with this company for business as there is no alternative. I always book premium to give me flexibility to change tickets and times. In order to change anything you have to call a helpline that can only be described as unhelpful, they...More
Got first class ticket. Nice seats. Bathrooms absolutely disgusting. And no food on board. Went to food car and looked at menu for awhile, lady standing behind the counter, we ask for a sandwich. She replies oh we don’t have anymore...none. They had 2 packs...More
We were staying in Paris, and a day trip to Mont Saint-Michel was in our plans. So we caught the Rennes TGV from Gare Montparnesse and had an extremely comfortable and fast trip.
There were some “slow down areas” where I assume our train had...More
Had the tub from Switzerland to Paris. It’s a smooth ride and departure and arrival was on time. The cleanliness inside the train could be better. The tablet of my partner was not even existing anymore. How can that happen all seats pay the same...More
My husband and I took the train from Paris to Barcelona and back booking first class both ways. On the upper deck you see so much more and we were sat at a table for two with plenty leg room. Plenty of space for luggage...More
For a country that is justifiably proud of it’s TGV, there something very wrong about the acceptance of such low standards of hygiene that welcome you on board. The smell from the toilets is all pervading as you get on the train. When the call...More
Nestled between the Seine, Bastille, and Père Lachaise lies a peaceful side of town where wide avenues and impressive buildings accompany green spaces and small parks. Landscaped havens are plentiful, from the Bercy Park to La Coulée Verte and most impressively the Bois de Vincennes, which even contains a medieval castle on its doorstep. For an escape from the masses head to this calming neighbourhood where real Parisians make

I would do it online or using their app. That way you can use a mobile ticket. No need to have a paper ticket. Also their app gives you very useful info and upto date times/platforms etc. Although the french stations in paris do like to make it difficult for us tourists. Enjoy as it is a lovely smooth ride once on board
