We were only in Paris for a couple of days and decided not to spend a lot of money and wait in lines to go up the Eiffel Tower. Instead I read that Montparnasse had fantastic views at a fraction of the cost. So we...More

I prefer to not wait in unbelievable long lines. We went to Montparnasse and were rewarded with short lines, fantastic views of Paris, and good food. We did not opt to go up higher and stayed at the inside viewing area. Open the map you...More

The night view of Paris was really nice and romantic, and waiting to see the sparkling Eiffel tower from the above was very special ( even we had seen it close by the previous day already ) and certainly worthwhile, very interesting and spectacular. However,...More

This area is quite in the middle. There are several metro stops close which makes it easy to get to tourist attractions from this location. The closer you are to the intersection of Raspail and Montparnasse boulevards the closer to 2 metro lines. There are...More

We visited the tower during our stay in Paris as we had heard it was the best view in Paris. We were not disappointed! There was no queue for tickets, although this may have been different if we had visited during peak season. The lift...More

The best thing about this station is that various routes converge here. So it's possible to take a train to see the Eiffel tower, to visit the Louvre museum or even go to the airport. Everything is clean and in the front of the street...More

Our second visit, we were here about 15 years ago, it was very quiet then, but seems to be busier and more developed now. There was still quite a bit of room, great views of Paris and didn't take too long to get up. No...More

The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the
landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that

brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and
parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away
from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and
historical monuments and treasures. In between lie
adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small
