Bois de Vincennes at the Île de Reuilly is a great place to spend the day. You can bring your bicycle, a picnic basket, and a pair of binoculars and spend a relaxed day exercising and watching the birds that nest by the lake. The park has cycling paths and a wide path for walkers, some walkers come by themselves,... More

I ran through this park during the Paris Marathon and was very impressed. It is a huge park with lots of greenery. It feels a very far away from the hustle and bustle of Paris and a lovely escape from the city.

The Bois de Vincennes covers a vast area to the West of Paris, sprawling across 995ha (almost 4 square miles). Although it has some specific attractions, such as the zoo, it's mainly best for just walking or cycling around, free from the traffic and pollution of Paris proper. Parts are quite lightly managed woodland, rather than a more formal park.... More

There is a castle, a lake where you can go rowing, a zoo and lots of flower gardens. Extensive hiking and biking areas. Lots to see and do. Oh and don't miss the Foire de Trone if you are in town in the spring. It's an old school fair, rides and cotton candy.

Beautiful park. Great people watching - so many interesting folks enjoying the place. We rented a boat and paddled around - had an absolutely great time. Parisians are serious about their parks - if you spend any time there, they're really near the top of the don't miss things to do in Paris - and none are more spectacular in... More

We were staying in the 12th arrondissement in Paris in September 2013. It was just a decent, but not to long to the Bois (woods). We decided to walk there one morning. It was a little cool and overcast, but we were fine. Lovely areas with ponds, flowers. Lots of lily pads in the water just like in Monet's waterliliy... More

One cannot believe but all this green is still in Paris. Certainly not central , but still well deserved with a subway station "Château De Vincennes". We can find lakes, birds, horses and a lot of peaceful places. Love

We visited the Bois de Vincennes by accident really as we were trying to find the start of the Promenade Plantee to walk back into central Paris. The park looked so nice we took a lovely walk and sat down people watching for a while also. The park is very busy as locals use it for jogging, walking their dogs... More

We walked around the pond and over the two islands, and that was a very nice walk. Do not miss the grotto on one of the islands. Nice buddhist temple there too
