Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow! Who new? Wonderful church, overlooked by most, close to the Sorbonne and literally next-door to the Pantheon. The most amazing stained-glass and it houses the Tomb of St. Genevieve, put here at the request of King Clovis where he originally was buried (now elsewhere). So much to see and truly a hidden gem. Oh yes, Genevieve is the Patron Saint of Paris.

Though its origins are from medieval times, the current church dates to the 17th century. It's beautiful inside, with the soaring arches and crisp white stones you expect from Parisian churches.

Located right behind the Pantheon, this church houses the shrine of Saint Genevieve, patroness of Paris, who according to legend saved the city from the ravages of Attila the Hun.

Situated atop the hill next to the Pantheon, overlooking part of Paris, this church is often overlooked by visitors and locals alike. Pretty amazing design and the interior is stunning with the architecture and layout. Be mindful when visiting as this remains an active church with services daily. Thus, avoid walking around and snapping photos when a service has begun. The organ overlooking the congregational area is one the largest, most detailed you'll find.

The famous Pantheon should be on everyone's to do list in Paris, so if you did that, almost right next door is this cute Church.
The Church is a mix of Gothic-Renaissance architecture with beautiful stained glass and shrine dedicated to Paris' patron saint. However, the biggest impression on me left the twin spiral stone carved staircase.

Very attractive church is next to the Pantheon, but is largely overlooked by most tourists visiting its more famous neighbor. Contains shrine honoring St. Genevieve, the patron sainte of Paris. Also contains the remains of Racine and Pascal. Beautiful interior as well. Groundbreaking in 1494 -- Completed in 1624.

This is a remarkable church for a few reasons. It is across the road from the Pantheon and appears to be largely overlooked by tourists. It is noteworthy because it contains the last remaining rood screen in Paris. It also has one of the oldest organs in the capital. It well worth a look if you are in the vicinity.

When I was in Paris many years ago this church was directly behind our apartment. So we had to visit for old time's sake. It is an interesting mix of architecture, but we always enjoy finding special places in out of the way churches. This also happens to be the resting place of St. Genevieve, the patron saint of Paris. It is very close to the Pantheon, but does not get nearly as many visitors, so it is quiet and one can explore in peace.

Eglise Saint-Etienne-du-Mont de Paris is quite an old church but a very beautiful building. It is absolutely stunning on the interior and not to be missed. It is located near the famous Pantheon. We visited the Pantheon and intended visiting Eglise Saint-Etienne-du-Mont de Paris later, however we ended up missing out. We will make sure next time we put it top of our list.

After visiting this beautiful church behind the Pantheon, we took the curving back street down to the Seine. Looked back at St. Etienne and realized that those were the steps where Owen Wilson sat to go back in time in the movie.
