Gare St. Lazare is next to our hotel ( Hilton Paris Opera) and it made sense to travel from here when we decided to take a day trip. We decided on Vernon - Giverny so that we could visit Monet's house and gardens. We had...More

Leave yourself plenty of time to get between Metro lines. This is a big station underground and can take a good 10 mins to get from one part to the other. A good location for shopping near Les Grand Magasins of the Boulevarde Haussmann.

Connects several Metro lines in addition to being a major train station. It is also walking distance from Opera and the 1st and 2nd Arrondissements. 1836.

We stumbled across the station and found heaps of great shops inside which were interesting and reasonably priced. There are some great little places to grab some groceries and some good speciality stores

The fairly recent renovation of this station makes it the most pleasant and inviting in Paris. Lots of places to shop and eat, so one can linger or wait in comfort. Very busy with trains to the suburbs and the northwest. Lots of Metro lines...More
