I love rue Mouffetard. It has everything you could possibly want to put on your table. Fish , meat , cheeses, pastries , delicatessen items , ready made foods from the many traiteurs along the market street . Plenty of good value restaurants and bistros...More

I visited last year and will be going to Paris again in two weeks and will make this one of the important areas of Paris to show my son. The fruit and cheeses and displays of pastries and fish are amazing as was the smell...More

All the Paris charm in a beautiful neighborhood that is quieter this time of year. 100 restaurants to choose from. I come back here often!

If you are visiting the attractions like the Latin Quartier or the Pantheon on the Left Bank, you really should consider visiting the Rue Mouffetard as well. Instead of having your lunch or dinner in one of the most touristic spots in Paris anywhere around...More

We were there in mid-september, around 10, just when they opened the stands, so it was not to many tourists on this beautiful Paris-street.

Rue Mouffetard is a partly pedestrianised street that has everything you need for living life the French way. Located in the 5th arrondissement, it is a bit off the tourist route but that just adds to the charm. At the southern end it is all...More

Rue Mouffetard has it all --a street market with stalls featuring veggies and fruit at the lower end; bars and restaurants higher up; and little shops throughout, selling seafood, cheeses, wine, meat, pastries and much, much more. Late Sunday mornings, you can even find residents...More

An absolute must ..... don't leave paris without walking this street. Wonderful brasseries, cafes, you won't be disappointed. Love the busyness, the hustle, the french vibe.

Such a charming street, with out of this world sandwich shops, and everything foodie. This was a highlight to my trip and I am planning my return in March. We stumbled on this lovely street by accident and left with delicious sandwiches that were by...More

To say the rue Mouffetard is just a "street" is like saying Bridget Bardot was just a blond. The Mouffetard Market is a spectacular display of everything Parisian one could ask for. There are fine restaurants, like the Cave la Bourgogne (moderately priced and most...More

architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The
small streets are filled with classical buildings,
student bars and lively eateries while the squares are
dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined
by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin
once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which
celebrates the great men and women of France. During

The shops and restaurants in Rue Mouffetard did not close in August when I lived very close by in Place de la Contrescape but my information may be out of date. It is ten years plus since I was there.
