I visited this market on a Sunday morning. There are cheeses, fish, pastries and even an outdoor large rotisserie with whole chickens and potatoes. A great place to pick up lunch or just stroll and eat with the French. An eye & mouth pleasing market....More

You need not be in search of food, but for a pleasant – very pleasant – walk then Rue Mouffetard is the street for you. Not on a Monday though as you will find the shutters down in front of the shop windows and the...More

There are cheese shops, wine shops, multiple bread and pastry shops, meats, poultry, fish, fruits, vegetables, and plenty of restaurants. The street is cobblestones for much of the way. On Sundays, a few blocks are closed to traffic. In good weather there is sometimes entertainment...More

This is the Paris that I think everyone wants to see. Lovely little food shops, everything from baked goods to cheese to seafood. Musicians playing in the street. We were there during the day, but I would love to come back in the evening on...More

Exactly what you are looking for in a French market, here you can pick up lunch for less than 10 Euro, friendly locals, beautiful streets.

Stroll up or down the hill and admire the food stalls and the old houses. Make sure to spend time in a cafe at Place Contrescarpe at the top of the hill, one of our favorite spots in Paris.

Enjoyed the open market! Got there around 9am in a Thursday, when it was opening. It was small but had beautiful displays and a nice atmosphere.

It's worth visiting and has a special charm that is very parisienne yet laid back. Many crepe shops and cafes. It's not high end so expect good food around the area but nothing fancy.

Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life,
architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The
small streets are filled with classical buildings,
student bars and lively eateries while the squares are
dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined
by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin
once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which
celebrates the great men and women of France. During
