The Basilica of Sacre-Ceour is impressive and the view from it's doors is panoramic! The area is crowded with hordes and masses but you must pop in if you made it up there!

The top of the dome has the best view of Paris. The stairs are worth the climb to see the views of Paris.

I always make a point to visit the Sacre-Ceour cathedral not just for the cathedral itself, but for the grounds and the beautiful scenery from above. The cathedral itself sits high above Paris in the Montemartre area, built in the late 1800's in the Romano-Byzantine...More

Every time I visit Paris I have to take in a trip to this beautiful basilica. The paintings and statues are wonderful. I just find it so annoying that so many tourists do not respect the many requests to treat this place as the holy...More

A well maintained cathedral on the top of a hill. A lift will take you to the top for a few euros if you don't like walking up hill. An easier walk downhill with lovely views. Lots to see once inside.

This is definitely a must do well in Paris. We opted to pay the nominal fee to go up to the dome. It was definitely a lot of steps. Must be pretty fit to do this. It was well worth the photos

Took this shot on a city tour. Busy in July but well worth seeing this cathedral. Wonderful view of Paris from the front steps. Must see on short trips.

Another must-see in Paris. We reached the church by the side entrance. Had to climb up about 9 fleet of stairs to reach the church. Or you could take the slope up. The church itself was really gorgeous. Did not manage to go inside though.

Sacre-Coeur is a well known, and relatively new, church on Paris’ highest point. Visitors may opt to walk the stairs to the top or take the reasonably priced funicular railway to the church. Once there, take a moment to appreciate the Parisian skyline and find...More

This was a lovely church to visit although so many people around the location. Very tacky touristy shops and stalls nearby so be careful not to get scammed. If you have a train/metro ticket for the day that will get you up and back on...More

Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and
styles which changes from one street to another. Ride
the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the
steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the
Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The
church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano
bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers
thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy

It is free to get in. Six euros to go up the tower. If you wish to light a candle the suggested amount is three euros.
