This is the mother of al schools, not only by its reputation but by its history and architectural perfection. I found overwhelming the sheer size of the building, covering a huge block. If you enjoy seeing famous and beautiful places or if you are interested...More

I don't know why I thought that you could get inside this building. Only students are allowed in, and while my boyfriend found the historical significance of this building interesting, I was very bored. It didn't help that it was raining the day we went,...More

We were out walking and found ourselves in the complex of the Sorbonne. As retired teachers, we loved the college feel of the area and the wonderful architecture. How it would be good to be young and go to school here!

Sorbonne district provides a good stroll and cheap student haunts, oozing an atmosphere of intellectual conversation in the background. Also littered with some quirky shops for shopping around.

History is here, the center of Paris' famous universities. I find this collection of buildings to be grand but not particularly beautiful. Security limits your access.

The area in which it is located consists of narrow roadways, containing not surprisingly, a host of book stores, cafes. It is one of the most beautiful landmarks of this charming area. You cannot miss the impressive exterior of this huge building when walking along...More

Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life,
architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The
small streets are filled with classical buildings,
student bars and lively eateries while the squares are
dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined
by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin
once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which
celebrates the great men and women of France. During
