This is a very high end department store so if you are into shopping, this is the place to be! Galeries Lafayette is a gorgeous building with an amazing dome. There is a glass walkway you can stand out on over the inner atrium. If you go to every floor and every department, it will take you several hours as this place is really huge. I see other reviewers talk about a fee but I don't know what that fee is. We just walked into the building and shopped and dined for a few hours. If you can, try to go to the outdoor terrace for sweeping views of Paris!

The baked goods were divine. We had lunch on the top level and as expected, it was pricey. Lots of people visit so if you don't like crowds, this isn't the place to be as it gets very crowded with pushy people.

Would recommend not going there on a Saturday. Went on a Saturday and there was hardly any breathing room given all the people. Returned on a Monday and it was much more sane. Make sure you got to the 8th floor terrace to see the views of Paris. You can also pre-book online a 5 min session to walk out on a glass floor under the dome o the 3rd floor. Would also not recommend getting gelato up on the 8th floor terrace - you get ripped off with a tiny scoop for 5e.

A fabulous department store, well worth visiting. Highlights were the stationery department and toy department. However every single floor was perfectly laid out full of gorgeous brands. Aside from the famous domed roof which is stunning, I would highly recommend visiting the seventh floor roof terrace for a stunning view over the Paris rooftops and the Eiffel Tower. As a free activity, this was a lovely way to spend half an hour. There are also deckchairs on the roof and almost a 360 degree view. A fantastic photo spot. Quiet too!

After seeing everything Paris is famous for, if you have a couple of hours left, it may be worth it. It is an excellent summa between the Rinascente in Milan and the Fondaco dei Tedeschi in Venice.
Do not miss the roof terrace from which you can enjoy an almost 360-degree panorama. Absolutely avoid the terrace bar where - after waiting in line - the reception is managed by an aspiring princess Sissi “de noantri” with an inconvenient and inadequate way of doing things; last but not least, a drink at 9 € and a spritz at 15 may be understandable given the location, but they certainly do not please.

As one way to see Paris, we recommend the view from the rooftops of Galerie Lafayette, Osman.
Panoramic views of the Opera Garnier as well as the Eiffel Tower
Clear fence that doesn't disturb your view(?) There is also a place that has become, good for a commemorative photo
If there is a problem, it seems that the only way to get up to the roof is by stairs, which may be more difficult for wheelchair users

One Saturday in December, as soon as the special Christmas windows were installed, we rushed with the two girls to visit the LAFAYETTE GALLERIES.
We're not disappointed even if the myth of Santa Claus, we don't believe it anymore.
We enjoyed:
- a visit to the windows and the shop at an off-peak hour
-the store's surveillance system because the crowd attracts the ill-intentioned
-windows, it's always difficult to change every year! This year, with white glitter characters (adults, children, birds etc) it is well done and amateur photographers were not lacking
- the visit of the store, then, made in slow motion due to the crowd is interesting by the variety of products offered for sale, each stand offering its specialties
- the finish is dazzling; it's going up to the top floor (it takes time) and admire the electrified tree, below the magnificent dome.
A very nice walk , to program intelligently (little crowd).
Congratulations again to the decorating teams!!

We stopped in at the Galeries Lafayette on a rainy morning in Paris to see this 1890s Art Nouveau/Art Deco building and its beautiful stained glass dome. We made same-day reservations for free access to the Glasswalk, a 30-foot glass platform installed to allow visitors a clearer look at the nearly 150-foot high dome installed in 1912. Our wait in line as short, and this experience did not disappoint (although it was a little unsettling to walk out on glass to see the dome). Still the beautiful colors of the glass above are stunning. And the gilded ironwork on the balconies by Louis Majorelle and other dome details are magnificent works of art! Beyond that, we wandered through some of the women's designer departments and the 6th floor gifts and souvenirs department (where we enjoyed views of Paris out the windows; the rooftop terrace was closed due to weather). An enjoyable department store experience!

Beautiful building and the dome was spectacular. You can line up and walk along the glass floored platform to get a better view and also better photos. But, the shopping is only for the rich!! There was a vintage / used area of designed clothing called - RE-STORE, but it was super expensive, at least for my budget. So not a great shopping location for the average person. There was a nice FAO Swartz childrens toy area.

Shopping center is beautifully sublime each floor to its beauty part, especially in the Christmas period when you can see the 130th showcase of galleries that has access to the beauty of Christmas and its sweets.

Unfortunately, it was very complicated to circulate inside by the craze that this sign provides. But you have to be silly not to go there during your visit to Paris.

The access to the terrace has been closed, but I have already done it and it is a must of this city.

This flagship store alone has three buildings, with over 3500 brands to choose from, whether you want to pack, jewelry or cosmetics or even eat accompaniment.

More importantly, be sure to look at its luxurious interior decoration and tell you that the top floor has a viewing desk where you can see the entire Paris city for free. I've never seen a store company that is so good at business and like a store opened for Chinese. The proportion of Chinese entrepreneurs is very high. Feel half, luxury brands have a lot of clothes and backpacks and toy cosmetics. Free WiFi and toilet. Decorated very gorgeous place.

The cosmetic shop next to the old Buddha is good to buy, the shopkeepers will speak Korean and Chinese, so there are many Korean and Chinese tourists to buy goods here, greater than imagined, the goods are blooming, the shopkeepers are very attentive and also organize the goods that tourists will buy in a comparison area, which is convenient for customers to select. You can buy all the popular swans, skin springs and swannas.
