Strolling along at night looking in the windows of the high end shops was a nice way to spend time, but it was the "over-the-top" cars parked in front of the fancy hotels that held our interest. Never saw so many in one place at one time.

At a little over a mile and a half the Rue Saint-Honore runs from the Rue Royale through to Les Halles. It passes the Elysees Palace (home of the French President), Place Vendome, all the designer shops you will ever need and offers tantalising glimpses through the side streets of the Tuileiries, Rue de Rivoli, Palais Royal and Place Charles... Most come to window shop or even to spend a good fortune on one of the beautiful samples being sold by one of the global luxury brands' flagship stores. By now, the local brands are nearly extinct and thus I like the architecture of the buildings and maybe to check occasionally a storefront. Else, nothing here that you can't find... More

This street is famous because it houses major luxury brands and the Elysee Palace, residence of the President of the Republic. This was the main street of the village of Roule she keeps the sinuous. In the 18th century it attracted many people to the aristocracy and high finance who had built luxurious mansions decorated parks. At the corner of... More

Great if you want to window shop but if you aren't a Sheik or Baron, doubt you'll be buying much. Note that the map pin is on the far northwestern end of where the shops are.

If the Champs Elysee doesn't have the high end designer brand you are looking for then head to this street where you will find them all.

While I can't shop, I can window shop and there is no place better in Paris than this winding small street, and, if you have seen enough luxe, walk over to the Champs Elysee!

Starting from rue Royale towards the Élysée Palace, you'll find some of the best fashion brands on this street, Hermès' flagship store, most notebly, but also Givenchy, Saint Laurent, Prada, Lanvin, etc. Along with Avenue Montaigne and the rue Saint-Honoré which is on the other side of rue Royale, it is one of the city's high-end fashion streets. Not to... More

I pass in this street regularly and I don't get bored. But I don't consider it a modern elegant shopping street. There are plenty of luxury shops, some of them with creative products such as Colette. Generally, for my taste, it is more for people attracted in past brands or ostentatious luxury, and not a showcase of modern high quality... More
