This is the city's history museum, set in a gorgeous Renaissance mansion. Lots of city artifacts here, including some entire rooms or shop interiors. Beautiful displays.

This museum is all about the history of Paris, and it's fantastic. It was easily one of my favourites in the city with great information about the Paris Commune and the French Revolution. Unfortunately, it is currently closed until 2019.

I've been here countless times and enjoyed myself each time. Excellent era-by-era explanation of Paris' history with great artifacts. Love the captured interiors of important buildings. And the museum is in a classic 17th Century mansion. Great book store.

Not that I saw - it's free, so you don't need a pass to get into it. Your bets bet is either the Paris travel bureau. close to the Hotel du Louvre, or your own hotel.
