A world class museum of asian art. Very compressive. From Vietnam and China to India. It has many pieces you will have a difficult time locating in other museums collections.

Went for the special exhibit which was a lot of nothing until the last room. The museum itself is rather large, but the collection is very specific. I didn't see anything that really made me go wow. EXCEPT, they do have a recreation of a...More

We thoroughly enjoyed four hours in the museum, particularly it's extensive collection of Buddha statues, the survival Burma photography exhibition and Felix Regamey's paintings. The restaurant didn't have any vegan food.

These two separate temporary exhibitions are shown in parallel at the Guimet. They illustrate perfectly the strength and the shortcomings of this unique Museum. All the works on display belong to the incredibly rich permanent collections of the Museum. For the Japanese landscapes section this...More

Extensive collection of Asian works of art, covering many centuries and cultures. Beautifully displayed and curated. Come and be educated.

This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive
Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National
museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill
the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher,
florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury
and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most
famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings
are small art galleries and homes of historical
