An amazing and interesting collection, wouldn't take more than an hour if you are in a rush. Does not get as crowded as some Parisian sites, but if you go early you will have kind of an exclusive visit by yourself.
Worth a visit.

This is a wonderful medieval museum - small but certainly worthwhile. The Roman bath area is well preserved. They had some of the stone work from Notre Dame available to look at; these piece date back to the ND renovations in the 14Century and were only out becasue of the fire. The second and third levels had had the unicorn tapestries.
everything was beautifully laid out with good signage.
BUT for an audio guide you need to provide the front desk with ID and they would not take cash as a deposit - we generally leave our passports in the hotel safe when we travel so we did not get the extra information but it was still pretty impressive

A wonderful visit! A relatively small museum but uncrowded with unique artifacts. The highlight of our visit was the Unicorn Tapestries followed by sacred relics of Christianity at Sainte-Chapelle. A very historical and interesting museum. Highly recommend to all visitors in Paris.

This is a small museum in the Latin Quarter. The highlight is the series of Unicorn Tapestries. They were truly impressive - well-preserved, giant, beautiful. The exhibit had lots of information explaining what was in the tapestries and why they are important. The museum also has church artifacts and a section with a roman bath ruin area. The museum recently completed a major remodel. Worth a visit!

This museum was included in our Paris Museum Pass and is situated in the Latin Quarter close to many other attractions, so we made a quick stop here. Unfortunately, it is undergoing major renovation so the only things open in our February 2020 visit was the tapestries, a few relics, and the ancient bath ruins. Decide if it’s still worth it to you.

If you like historical fiction, you can read The Lady and the Unicorn by Tracey Chevalier (horribly cheesy but an easy read) to get a little backstory on these famed tapestries.

Roomy and comfortable to visit this collection of Middle Ages artefacts is delightful and fascinating. But the 6 tapestries of the woman and the unicorn are breathtakingly beautiful. I would return and take a guided tpur. These are works of art on view without the crowds found in other museums and galleries.

Although the museum was undergoing a major make-up, I really enjoyed its collection. I have been to Paris so many times, but this was my first visit to the Cluny. I'll sure come back.

This museum is just OK. It has the nice set of tapestries in the Lady and the Unicorn series, but other than that, not much to see here. There is a section of old relics, many religious in origin, but there's nothing here you couldn't see in a lot of churches in town. If it's your first or second trip to Paris, skip it. If it's your 8th or 9th, go ahead and give it a try.

Most of the museum is closed for renovations so you see very little for your 8 euros. While it is winter, the entire place was over heated and uncomfortable. Mostly tapestry on view and would be worth it if it weren't so dark. I realize textiles require low light levels for conservation, but if you can't see them you might as well stay home. I wish I had.
