The 7th arrondisment has a long history: dating back to the 567, and developing in Middle Ages, you can still see the narrow streets with high arcades crossing in between buildings. The Parisians live in a big city, but the truth is, they stay in their neighborhoods. They live, shop and eat there. They go to local stores and schools;... More

A nice location, we rented an arpartment in this area and felt very safe at all hours of the day and night. It didn't hurt that we were on the same block as the home of the French PM. Many local Bistros with English speaking staff made us feel like we were right at home. There are many attractions in... More

This is Paris' most wealthy arrondissement, probably because it if full of huge solid apartments. You'll come here for the Tour Eiffel and maybe for Rue Cler, but otherwise it's a bit cold and uninviting. Lots of stretches of big expensive buildings without much to look at.

Not so popular, but so beautifull! Lots of embassies, nice shops, restaurants. Rue de Varenne, rue de sevres, rue de Grenelles: nice to be. Take a seat on a heated terrace and experience the way parissiens live.

I rented an apartment near the Invalides in the 7th every summer for 20 years! I recommend it, especially for Americans.. Many expats live here. Non French speakers will be comfortable here. You can walk to all the central Paris tourist attractions. The area is open and well lighted. The Air France terminal is centrally located here. Great dining, great... More

We rented a flat in this neighborhood on our recent vacation and we were very happy with it. Plenty of grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants, laundry and more. Very close to sites and metro.

This is an excellent area to stroll around - Paris is a city for walking! - with amazing architecture, first & foremost of course the Eiffel Tower.

This area of Paris is dominated by the Eiffel Tower and the army museum but still is an enjoyable walk away from these must see tourist attractions. The streets are lovely and wide with little traffic. Cafes and coffee shops abound. The Sorbonne was a good place to visit too.

We stayed in the 7th Arrondissement, and found most everything we wanted to see was also in the 7th. Before traveling to Paris, be sure to go to your local book store, and find a pocket map of Paris. Get to know the boundaries of the 7th, and how to navigate travel. You can get to most sites via city... More
