Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

She is a patron saint of the city, supposedly saving the city from an invasion in the early centuries. Here she is on the Boulevard, not far from the hill that is named for her.

The glorious park is full of statues and outside art, and this is one of them, pleasant. One can do a whole tour of the statues noting them all.

Surrounding the grand pond, is a collection of statues dedicated to women, Queens , Saints, etc, of France. This figure of the Patron Saint of Paris, (423 to 512), is quite demure in appearance, possibly what the sculptor Michel Mercier, was intending. It is said through prayer she saved Paris from invasion by Attila the Hun.

This white-marble statue of Saint Genevieve is a depiction I expected when I came across a group of 20 statues devoted to important French women in the Luxembourg Garden. Genevieve is known in France for saving Paris from an invasion by Attila the Hun. She convinced residents to pray and repent, which supposedly resulted in Attila going elsewhere. Her tomb rests in beautiful Saint-Etienne-du-Mont Church by the Pantheon.

Created by Michel Mercier in 1845, this statue of the patron saint of Paris shows her in a long, flowing robe with a cloak. Her eyes are closed and arms crossed. Long braids fall across the shoulders. The statue stands on a stone pedestal with an information plaque that gives her birth and death years as 425 and 512. These are only approximations because of the lack of records.

I thought the statue was a good candidate for restoration because of nicks in the marble and discoloration. Genevieve stands on the right side of the terrace above the Luxembourg Garden's basin, when facing the Luxembourg Palace.
