This little train ride was great to take as walking would have been tough due to the big hill you have to climb to get to Montmarte, the chapel, and the artist section. The train allowed us to take great pictures and narrated different important points along the route. It started off right in front of Moulin Rouge and dropped... More

We really enjoyed the tour, this train is around the corner from Sacre-Coeur closer to the square (there is another train that is not the same right near Sacre-Coeur). Really enjoyed going up and down the streets of Montmartre. It covered a little of this a little of that, it was a welcome respite from all the walking you'll do... More

We were up at Sacre-Coeur and saw this little train which we knew did a tour of Montmartre but we didn't know what we'd see. €6 each felt a little steep at first, but having done the tour it feels about right and is a good way to see the area whilst saving your legs (it is vey hilly). It... More

So glad we didn't miss this little tour! We learned so much about the Montmarte area and who lived there! It enabled us to see much more than if we had tried to walk it ourselves on our first visit to Paris! And the audio worked great! We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day and saw so much and... Great tour. It's a simple little train ride that we found out about with our Paris Pass. (highly recommend) We took the train to waste time, not really knowing what we would see. The train weaves though Montmartre which is a fascinating little neighborhood. There is commentary (recorded) on the train but the best part is going to the top... More

It you don't feel like hauling yourself up the steep cobbled streets of Montmartre, this is the best way to go. Reasonable commentary as one heads up the hill. We managed to miss the train to go down so make sure you get the exact departure point and time if you are going to make the return journey. Otherwise, get... More

It's a slow moving train cruising around Montmartre main attractions and stopping occasionally. Probably suits the best small kids and elderly since this neighborhood may be quite steep for pedestrians sometimes.

Yes the audio is dodgy and it gets a but rough at times. But it shows you streets that you don't know exists. It takes into really interesting parts of Montmartre . It's cheap 6.50 euros. I loved it. The end stop in the market circle with all the artists is lovely and an easy walk to the basilica. Worth... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
