A bridge with a past
Nov. 2019
Pont Saint-Michel is a small bridge that links the Place Saint-Michel on the left bank of the Seine River to the Île de la Cité. It is located fairly close to Notre-Dame Cathedral. The bridge was built in 1857 but its history actually goes back much further, to around the second half of the fourteenth century. It was rebuilt several times due to a range of reasons.

To ile de la Cite
Feb. 2020
Noted while trying to reach Saint Chapel coming from the left bank. The overall island is pretty enough with its bridges.

This stone bridge spans the seine from Ile de la cite to Place saint Michel, similar to the Pont au Change, it has the letter N between the arches dedicated to Napolean.

Cite - left bank link
Dec. 2019
Opposite the Change bridge linking the Cite with the right bank, this bridge links the Seine isle with the left bank. It's a classic Parisian arched stone bridge with engraved N insignia, meaning it was built during the Emperor's reign.
The bridge offers great views of the front twin towers of Notre Dame.

Nice

The Place Saint-Michel is probably one of the places we frequented most during our 5 day stay in Paris. It was close to our hotel in the Latin Quarters. We were there on our way to the Louvre, to see the burnt out Notre Dame, for our visit to Saint- Chappelle. We also used the Metro and RER stations at Saint-Michel.
The Place Saint-Michel is a public square in the Latin Quarter, on the border between the fifth and sixth arrondissement in Paris. It is linked to the Ile de la Cite by the Pont Saint-Michel. Being one of the main paths from the left bank to major tourist attractions like the Louvre and the Notre Dame, it is ver busy, with heavy traffic and crowded sidewalks. The bridge is beautiful on its own, but perhaps does not get noticed because of the traffic and the crowds.

Less interesting than other bridges in Paris.
Jan. 2019 • Couples
Pont Saint-Michel could be considered as a beautiful bridge on its own, however if you compare it to Pont Neuf or Pont des Arts it is less interesting and a lot of traffic is running on the bridge. It has a nice view of Notre-dame however that is the only thing that catches the eye. Not so special.

Busy Bridge to Notre Dame
Oct. 2018 • Family
It is one of the main paths from the left bank to Notre Dame, it is very busy but can give some nice pictures with Notre Dame and other views down the river.

Lots of Traffic
May 2018 • Couples
There is a lot of traffic crossing this bridge in central Paris. Very useful linking major tourist areas, but not peaceful. Crowded sidewalks.
