The main show is very good and performed in such a way as to be entertaining to all, with some in English too. As another reviewer notes, the descriptions are in French, but consider this is a small museum in France, I don't think it is fair to expect everything to be translated. Rather I find it useful to have... More

We visited as our guidebook suggested it was good for kids. There are 2 parts to the museum - a small section of automated toys and a larger magic museum - the Tour of which appears to include a magic show and a talk from a former magician. The museum is privately-run and quite old-fashioned in terms of its display... More

The magic show included with the ticket is by far the best thing here. (and it was VERY good). The exhibits are fascinating, but most of the explanation cards are in French - and unfortunately my language skills aren't quite up to translating the intricate details...

We enjoyed this boutique double-museum, which included a short magic show. It's in a small underground location which contributes to the magical atmosphere...

Off the beaten track for American tourists - this was a big hit with our boys. They loved the museum displays and the magic show (in French with a bit of English when one of our friends was chosen to participate)

This is a small and pricey museum but is fun and displays a wonderful collection of quirky pieces. There was also a small magic show and despite being so close to the magician it was impossible to see how he was doing the tricks. A lovely place to visit.

A wonderful mix of history, mini magic show (children get invited to take part) and delightful hosts who will happily chat to you and perform magic tricks as you take in the many curiosities, many of which are interactive. Tucked down a little street in central Paris, this was a great find - and the magic is doubled by there... More

This was my second time here, and I must say I enjoyed it as much as the first time. I like best the automatas, but the machines in general are pretty cool. The magic show is nice (better if you know french). For me, the building itself has its own allure, and legend has it that the infamous Marquis de... More

Ok museum but not more. Too expensive for what you get. Some attractions inside also cost but of course you can skip them. One small spectacle (show) is included and the magician was skilled. All ages can enjoy and he spoke both French and English. An older man informed about Houdini (after the spectacle)- all in French and it would... More

This is a cute little museum to visit if your kids enjoy magic, there are regular shows and the staff all seem to do magic tricks along the way. A good gift shop with basic magic tricks will see you spend a few more euro, and the street it is in has a number of interesting little shops and junk... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
