Well this is where there aristocracy was beheaded and now is a super-busy traffic circle full of vehicles and pollution. A fountain and obelisk would be lovely without all the traffic, but good luck with that. Cross the street at your own risk.

We came as part of our sightseeing tour across Paris. A nice fountain at a very large square - very well maintained! Is this a helpful review? Then please give me a "Thumbs up Thank FrankGeisler" by clicking the button below.

The fountain is very lovely and it is in an extremely important square. It’s a shame then that there is much construction in the area. This was at the very end of June and hopefully it is finished by now.

Located next to the obelisk of Luxor, the beautiful fountain commemorates the maritime industry of France. A similar fountain located on the other side of the obelisk is dedicated to the rivers of France. The multi-level fountain is surrounded by many beautiful sculptures. The sculptures...More

This is a lovely fountain, located in the Place de la Concorde. While the fountain can certainly be appreciated from afar, it's worth spending a couple of minutes getting to it, as it is lovely. Just watch the traffic in the square.

It is one of the two fountains on Place de la Concorde. This one is on the south of the obelisk. It is a beautiful fountain designed by Jacques Ignace Hittorff in 1836. Don't forget to visit the other fountain, Fountaine des Fleuves

I have always visited this beautiful fountain with its many artistically carved figures and the other nautical features whenever I have visited Paris over the passing years. It always makes for a good excuse to visit the Place de la Concorde and its obelisk!

I honestly cannot say just how average this is. If you want a fountain, there’s plenty here including some wall fountains (the last of which is near the Notre Dame), or if you really want to get your teeth into architecture like this get over...More

We're not on during the winter. Near the river. There are two fountains. Louis- Philippe era. Worth a quick stop.
