    What a bad experience
A horrible experience. Overpriced and the worse possible service. No air conditioning. Lines everywhere. Left late by 1 and half hours and arrived even later. Plane is by far a better option

    Lots of room for improvement
I chose the company because of the reasinaby pet policy. The loading was pretty decent, but the access to the cabins was a whole different experience, as the cleaning crew was extremely rude and ill mannered. The cabin was just acceptable (not very clean) once we finally got access. I think the company should rethink the staff attitude towards the clients. The crossing was a long haul as we left Alcudia at 7 am and didn't tie up in Toulon until 7.30pm. Also I didn't like the fact that on departure my passengers had to leave the vehicle and walk onto the ship with the other foot passengers. On arrival in Toulon we weren't allowed to the car deck until the ship was tied up. Lost another 30/40 minutes. Overall this company could do a lot better!!!

    Sehr Unorganisiert!
Never again Corsica ferry! We had reserved the ticket for 04.08.2023 at 06:00 from Livorno to Bastia. Travel time should be 4.5 hours. Were there at 04:00 and were stuck in traffic in the port area until 07:00! When we arrived at the gate, the ferry was already leaving. Half of the passengers could no longer go. Then everyone went to the office to find out more. We were told if we hurry we can catch the Moby ferry at 08:00 but we would have to pay again...or wait until 18:00. Since we didn't want to pay it again, we waited on the premises. We were supposed to be at gate 56 at 4:30 p.m., by chance we saw that from 2:00 p.m., cars were riding onto jetty 59. There was simply another change without giving notice, after talking to other passengers, we also ride in there. After hours of waiting, the ferry arrived at 5:45 p.m. and all the cars were unloaded, which lasted until 7:00 p.m. Afterwards the ferry was loaded again, the departure was at 20:30 instead of 18:00!! We arrived in Bastia at 01:30 until everything was completely unloaded, it takes until 02:20! We lost a whole day of vacation as a result!!!! On the way back from Bastia everything worked smoothly!!!!!!

Not too bad, but get a cabin
Toulon to Mallorca. We opted for the overnight crossing from Toulon with 4 bed cabin. Well organised for both embark and disembark. A lot of things closed onboard but restaurant was okay with good choice but a little pricey. Queue quite large. Would advise to just relax in cabin as ferry is quite busy with people sleeping everywhere. Take food onboard and don’t expect too much, this is a large ferry with lots of people, but a lot cheaper than flying and decent times for crossing. Travelled down from Calais with stay at Center Parcs in Bordeaux. Has a little shop on board with snacks, swimming pool more like a large hot tub and was closed.

Terrible and insufficient food for vegetarians. Prefer La Meridionale
Use La Méridionale instead Corsica Ferries is hectic and terribly managed. Insufficient space for everyone to be comfortable Worst of all is the food, as a vegetarian they only had pasta and pizza. The pizza ran out immediately and the pasta was a disgraceful amount, even after asking for more. Probably about 300 calories for a meal costing 10€. Had to survive on crisps and peanuts. La Méridionale was a dream in comparison, and the reviews show this. Avoid

Still in disbelief that this is an actual ferry transporting living creatures and some trash...
WORST FERRY EVER! Unprofessional staff, rude, kicking trash, smoking and acting like a group of drunk students. When asked anything in english they smirk at you and actually laugh like you are the stupid one. Paid for a luxury room with a balcony only to find out there were no balconies on the ship at all! Oh and the most important part nobody speaks a word of english so you could ask where to go but I was the only one who was forced to leave the car during embarking. When I said to employee that everyone stayed in the car he said "they old" as I watched with my healthy eyes all other young couples embark safely together with tears in my eyes and no instruction I left and saw my husband an hour later. And yes you just say the room number and they give you the key so actually anybody can get in your room as they don't ask for any ticket or proof that the room is actually paid and yours for the night. I suggest you rather swim from Alcudia to Toulon as it would be a less degrading experience!

“Out Of Order”… if only they were out of business.
Everything is out of order, broken, filthy, or just plane horrible. A return trip from Toulon to Mallorca on two different boats and both the same. Few of the advertised facilities are actually available, and those which are are absolutely filthy. You can’t even buy a drink because the card machines don’t work. If this is how they “look after” the public areas of their vessels I dread to think what the safety critical parts you can’t see are like. They really should just sail them to the scrap yard. Without any doubt, they are not fit for transporting living passengers. Oh, and the only thing worse than the ferries: the attitude of the staff. Unhelpful, contemptible, arrogant and rude.

Shabby cabins, terrible service. You're better off swimming there.
We booked what appeared to be a very nice cabin with a window five months in advance to be bumped off into some small dated cabin with no window with a blocked shower hours before our scheduled departure. No drinkable water on board i.e. only to be purchased at nzd5 for 250ml. We didn't even look at the price of the food given the queues. Take own food and water would be wise for nerves and wallet all around. Staff are incredibly rude or just pretend to not understand whatever language thrown at them. And of course ferry left 3.5hrs late. Return leg was just as bad except staff were even ruder. Don't be fooled by the photos of cabin online. They're tiny, dark and dirty. Broken shower and no hand soap. To be avoided at all costs.

Well ahead planed trip cancelled shortly before departure
I am extremely unhappy, how corsica ferries treats their customers. Our well ahead planed trip was cancelled one week before the departure and without a specific reason. We were offered to book another trip, but with the price conditions of a short term booking. In the end we payed 50% more than we would have paid, if we would have booked 6 months earlier.

    The Sardine Terrible Ferry
Absolutely awful! We traveled Toulon to L'Île-Rousse. The Board of Directors should be named and shamed. Boarding was like herding cattle, there were not enough seats to accommodate guests, the food and drinks was extortionate, the cleaning staff should be sacked for insubordination and laziness (evidence can be provided). The announcements were incoherent and there was a lack of safety announcements. Clearly the boat should be scrapped.

We booked passage from Toulon to Sardinia in May, and after reading reviews, I was very nervous about what to expect. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with our journey. Had some slight issues getting to the port, as the address provided was for the office across from the port rather than departure area so we had to follow the signs to get to the area for embarkment itself. They are very efficient getting vehicles on board and pack them tightly so be sure you can access your bags that you need with minimal fuss. We had a cabin booked for our overday and return day trip - they were basic, but clean and functional and it was nice to have a place to go to for sleeping, naps, etc. Food was basic and expensive for what it was but this was to be expected. While we were waiting for our departure, we received an email that our return ferry the following week was cancelled - we were able to rebook for another ferry in a different port that was only an extra 30 minutes away with a departure only 30minutes later and upon the return journey found that we were given an additional food voucher which was helpful.

We didn’t think to check any reviews before we booked our ferry but after our first journey to Bastia, we had a look. I wish we’d looked before we booked as we wouldn’t have chosen to take this journey! The ferry was delayed at very short notice (less than 2 hours before boarding) and we had to wait outside without any shade from the sun and without any further updates. Once on board we found the staff extremely abrupt and rude and clearly disinterested in their jobs.
The return journey was even worse - the first one was cancelled with less than two days notice, but luckily we had some wiggle room so could book a later ferry. In fairness to the ferry company they gave us a €50 voucher to spend in the restaurant on the ferry journey. The staff were just as rude and not only did we receive a tannoy message to vacate our cabin 30 mins before docking, but an hour and a half before docking a member of the ferry staff knocked on our cabin door three times in the space of 10 mins telling us we needed to leave the cabin in an extremely rude manner.
On the plus side, although the onboard brasserie staff were also rude and disinterested the food itself was really good and I would recommend it.

Corsica Ferries cancelled my reservation for Bastia to Toulon with 9 days notice with no explanation. Alternatives were offered but on different days or routes. Fortunately I managed to get a booking with Corsica Linea but it cost more. Initially Corsica Ferries refused to refund me due to the fare conditions but after I reminded them of the EU law they agreed to give me my money back but it would take a month. No compensation. Still waiting for my money.

After reading a lot of negative reviews I was a bit concerned but I found the whole journey acceptable I took the Toulon - Mallorca route car boarding was nice and easy staff were helpful and friendly ferry left on time my return journey was changed about a month before we left to Sete but they applied a 35 euro voucher to my ticket. Points to take this is just a Ferry they allow dogs on board and it is expensive for food and drink take your own on board there is no issue with this my experience was in April/May so was out of season.

Toulon to Ajaccio as walk-on passengers. Good welcome and directions. Boat and sleeping space clean and neat. Good service in Restaurant. The only issues was the noise of the boat as though we were right over the engines (we weren't!). Left an hour late but arrived on time, so who cares, and no pressure. to leave the vessel exactly on arrival. Happy journey.

Horrible organization. They've cancelled our crossing from Bastia to Livorno without any reason 12 days prior and the only other option is to go 8 hours earlier, which completely screws over our plans, since our accommodation is already non-refundable by this point. Now we have to wake up in the middle of the night to drive half way across the island to catch the ferry at 6:30.

We made and paid a reservation for the ferry Corsica Ferries (Grimaldie Lines) over the Internet during the May Day holidays. We received their official email with the boarding address. We entered the address into the navigation and it took us to the wrong terminal in the industrial zone, so we were late for the ferry. Fortunately we ran into a porter who told us where the ferries to Corsica starts. It was in Livorno, 8 km away. When we finally arrived at the port, which is one big labyrinth, the controller told us, while scanning the bar code from the tickets, that the reservation was made for a motorbike and not a car. He directed us to the female employees who charged us extra for the car ticket. We would have concluded that it was our mistake if motorcyclists had not passed by at that time, who also had the wrong reservation, for a bicycle. Is this a stretch or has the system accidentally failed?

As for the service - departure was 30 minutes late. The toilet facilities are very dirty. Otherwise, the ferry is comfortable, but old. The staff is friendly. You can sit on the sofas of the bar all the way to Corsica, even if you don't drink anything.

The journey out was fantastic because the weather was gorgeous but the journey back was a bit bumpy due to the wind. It’s the best way with an animal.
