Lots of stalls offering wide range of locally produced foods and products - honey, soap, hams, fruit and veg. Also the pick up point for the little train tours. Several souvenir shops around the outside street.

It's worth visiting this market as they have lovely fresh local produce and gifts. Like most of the town there are no public loos. I bought some lovely soap and some local jams.

With not so much to see in Ajaccio, Place Foch at market time (every morning until 1 pm) is to my opinion the best and most authentic attraction. Try out different sausages, different cheeses, and nip of a rosé at the different stalls. Make your...More

Every morning it turns into a market place with all kinds of cheeses, backed goods, veggies and fruits. Skip breakfast or lunch and stop by and enjoy the food and variety of flavors to be had.

This large concrete square's highlight is a large statue of Napoleon. It is a well located position to rest from your walking tour of Ajaccio, Corsica. It is not far from the seacoast. There is open-air market nearby as well as Napoleon's home where he...More

Visited the market with the chef from our cruise ship on a buying expedition. Lovely experience, great tip from him was to buy the ugliest tomato's. Shame the EU does not allow that in UK

This museum has the most important collection of Italian paintings outside the Louvre. Bellini, Botticelli, Titian, etc., don't miss it if in Ajaccio.

I don't remember visiting Maison Napoleon, however, I visited his birth town and his home where he grew up. I apologize this trip was early on this year so my memory of it is quite blurry. I took MSC cruise ship.
